New Thomas Cook Livery

Hello. I have created a New Thomas Cook Livery thread so people in The normal Thomas Cook thread don't have to complain about livery posts.

Here Is The New Livery:

During the process the sunny heart logo will just be added to the tail of the aircraft and then when the aircraft need painting then they will receive the full livery. (Source:Thomas Cook Airlines)

First one to get the new sunny heart logo on the tail is G-FCLD:

Very typical German style, clean, scheme - much more "Condor" than "Thomas cook".

Why they didn't merge the whole lot under the name "Condor" I don't really understand. In the UK their is loyalty to the tour operators, and your average "Joe" doesn't care two hoots who flies them to the beach as long as they get they in reasonable time, and at minimal cost.

That is NOT a "sunny heart" - it looks like a yellow ribbon that has been folded. And the meaning of a yellow ribbon these days is all about hostages. Does this mean anyone who flies on these airlines are to be regarded as "hostages"?

Whoever thought up the new logo did not think it through.

The designer wouldn't be doing a very good job if they ended up with something that was only capable of one interpretation.

They tried a common brand a few years ago under the Thomas Cook name. The German airline was named 'Thomas Cook with sub-titles Powered by Condor' but I understand pressure from the general public resulted in a return to the name Condor which was a more established and respected carrier within Germany.

TSR2

I remember that, but what they were doing there was rebranding an airline with a long standing, excellent reputation, and remember, to Germans, who you're flying with is a much bigger deal than it is with UK IT passengers, many of whom don't even care where they're going as long as it's hot, they can make themselves understood by shouting slowly in English, and can get a nice cup of tea!

Thomas Cook has no real pedigree under that guise - unlike Britannia, who who unceromonially rebranded by TUI. That would never have happened were the boot on the other foot (UK company rebranding German respected name).

With the re-branding, do TCX plan on upgrading the cabin interiors on its aircraft, i.e. the A320/1 and the A330? With the 757's going would there be much point?

Does anyone know if the cabin interiors will be getting an upgrade? I seen a pic of the condor A321 interior that is to come to TCX and it is miles better.

Others on a local forum in BHX have compared the new logo to that of a sanitry towel. Not my words but those of spotters. Some also compare it to that of Birmingham City logo. Not my words but those who think that TCX may have copied it. Either way judge for yourself

Don`t think it looks good on blue tail but as we know that is only till they
get round to putting full grey scheme which looks really good.
question is which scheme will the new A330 arrive in as I know it has already
been painted in old scheme but will they leaved it for 3 or 4 years with the new decals or repaint?

Well it was due on 1st October 2013 but that seems to have changed so maybe they have done something to it.

One of my colleagues at MAN made the same observation. Still as long as it's the type with 'wings' they're on to a winner.

Have the cabin crew started changing their uniform yet as I saw a girl in a yellow and grey one yesterday but wasn`t sure if it was TCX
