Why they didn't merge the whole lot under the name "Condor" I don't really understand
They tried a common brand a few years ago under the Thomas Cook name. The German airline was named 'Thomas Cook with sub-titles Powered by Condor' but I understand pressure from the general public resulted in a return to the name Condor which was a more established and respected carrier within Germany.
