Strong Scottish Winds
The Met Office have issued a RED Warning for gusting winds in Scotland's central belt up to 90mph today.
Im curious to know what impact this will have on aviation, what is the max wind speed for wind directly down a runway heading against crosswind gusts.......
Safe flying today boys and girls, sounds like it might be a rough day if your flying in Scotland.

Our SOP's say a max of 55 knots, crosswind limit is 30knots.
We landed in gusting 50 knots in Scotland earlier this year (right down the runway) and it was a handful to taxi in those winds.
