Airbus A320 Production
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has any idea what percentage of A320s are now produced at Finkenwerder completely rather than Toulouse?
I know some are going to be made in China - percentage? - but is the A320 production line moving, albeit gradually, to XFW to make more capacity at TLS.
Thanks for your answers.

YD,
as far as I know all A320's are produced at either Toulouse or in China(for the Chinese airlines). A321, A319 and A318 are produced at Hamburg.
Things are supposed to change with production moving from TLS to HAM eventually.
For percentages I suppose you can look at the backlog of A320's against the other variants. I remember seeing backlog figures very recently in Flight International but I cannot find the link now.
Cheers, Andy S

Sorry Yellowdog, could only find this !
Did you finish to count the D- ?
I tried to put the data into excel, put the format is not really handy too...
At least, you could have a look at the last month productions to have a rough idea of the shares, Toulouse/Hamburg/Tianjin.

Lufthansa Receives First Airbus Plane Assembled in Tunisia
They're not actually building the complete aircraft surely? Thought they were subcontracted parts manufacturers?

Tunisia provides subcontracted parts only, there is no final assembly (3 seems enough for the moment )
Back to the original question, I was talking to someone from Airbus today and asked him about current production rates :
2 /month from China (intended to asian market)
10-12 /month from France
13-14 /month from Germany

I played with Excel and got these figures:
F= 2466 D=2124 B=50
and of the last 500
F=220 D=245 B=35
some lines are "CONV." rather than production number so there may be a small amount of double counting....

I think we just mixed in A319 and A321 production numbers in both of the above. The OP was asking about the A320 which is the only variant built in both France and Germany.
Do the Chinese also build the A319 and A321?

According to year 2010 figures ( http://www.airbus.com/presscentre/co...sh&docID=14852 ), 401 Single aisles have been delivered:
Now, if we consider the last 401 A/C from the production list (I extrapolate from Srobarts excel skills!), we have:
That means 176 + 28 = 204 A320 out of french and chinese FAL,
Remaining 297 - 204 = 93 A320 made in Hamburg!
Then we finally get these A320 production %:
- A318: 2 (0.5%)
- A319: 51 (12.7%)
- A320: 297 (74%)
- A321: 51 (12.7%)
SA : 401 (100%)
Now, if we consider the last 401 A/C from the production list (I extrapolate from Srobarts excel skills!), we have:
- F: 176 A320
- D: 196 A318/19/20/21
- B: 28 A320
That means 176 + 28 = 204 A320 out of french and chinese FAL,
Remaining 297 - 204 = 93 A320 made in Hamburg!
Then we finally get these A320 production %:
- Toulouse: 60%
- Tianjin: 9%
- Hamburg: 31%

One every hour !
... Regarding a/c production - Last nights TV viewing
portrayed US a/c factory output during WW2 in which were shown
what appeared to be endless assembly lines of - I think - B17s
seeming to stretch for up to one mile or more all under the one roof - also a similar line where B24 Liberators were rolling out at the rate of One per hour ! Different size a/c and a different age of course - but was a staggering sight to view.
