The best for me was Concorde, she was a magnificent aircraft and I am sad that no one will be able to experience what I have.

Looking out of the flight deck over the earth, during the cruise, for me she has been by far the best private jet I have had the please of flying on. Sitting on the jump seat for the landing and receiving red carpet treatment from Jet Aviation was fantastic, especially for an 11 year old!

Topped by the A380 in size, capacity and luxury.

Concorde, will carry 100 people at Mach 2 above all but military traffic, with the best food, wine, Champagne in the sky. The 747 would take around 6-7 hours to New York and Concorde did it in just over 3 hours.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner may change minds when it finally goes into commercial service. As for my favorite aircraft, its hard to choose, but the Boeing 737 is a pretty nice aircraft.

How about best "aeroplane" or "aircraft" instead of that horrible Americanism "airplane".

Given that ALL the best airplanes are American designed/built he is quite right to call them Airplanes. And the Connie is the canine's testicles!!

DC 3
Considering the impact the DC-3 made to aviation on the whole, coupled with fact that many are still flying all over world to this day, it has to be at the top of the list, if not on the top.

Rubbish

Best big bird: Concorde.

Best small one: Siai Marchetti SF-260. The perfect training machine. Poetry in motion!

Lets not forget that the Americans have also built some really bad Aircraft such as their swept wing version of Concorde.

The Americans never built a swept-wing version of Concorde. Not too sure where you got the idea from that they had!!
