Can we just hang on here a minute! I was flying from Blackpool today and discovered that Mr M has re-opened a flying school - with 2 aircraft I believe. How can this be allowed to happen.
I also understand that RM is driving a 7 series BMW, and his wife a flashy 4x4. Meanwhile, many people have lost serious amounts of money - be they ex-staff, passengers or students - as a result of his failings. I only hope that his ex-employees all see sense and none of them, or students for that matter, are tempted to return.
As for the comments about Bannerman - do I detect bags of envy/jealousy directed at someone who has run a successful aviation business for many many years? (and no, I am NOT connected with him).

R.M. is back in business just like I said he would (u-can't keep a good un down for long). Can't wait to get back on his books, & as soon as he has the routes back I will be banging on his door hard. Your comments about bannereman only go to show how little you know about the goings on on the corner so maybe you should do a little research.

I have a good Idea, all the members of the old Comed who had money in credit accounts get free membership to the new Comed and free flying to the value of their accounts. Murgy then gets the privately owned aircraft released so all he has to do is pay his creditors and everyone, well almost everyone will be happy.

Platinum Air, lets see, no CRS presence, only one phone number in BLK somewhere to book, *hit advertising etc etc etc
Loads are Crap (note the capital 'C'), they may be doing reasonably ok from BLK to BHD (not sure) but why they bother dropping in to Fraggle Rock - I'll never know. Perhaps the courier bag that's coming off every day is a money laundering scam ???
Or more realistically the IOM Government will be giving them cheap or free landing fees in order they can screw up the viability of the other Islands air routes (again) - The Farmers and Post Office workers who run this Govt will never learn !
Would be interested to find out how well their London shuttle is doing ?!?

RM is allowed to start again because he has not been banned from acting as a Director of an English limited company, even then i'm sure he could get another 'name'to act as Director but still be in charge as a General Manager.
The law of limiting one's liability to the debts of the company should make prospective creditors beware and pay for publically available accounts but it seems to make them feel secure and jump in head first! Only if he gave personal guarantees will he be dipping into his own pocket.
The same goings-on happened at SECOAT at Manston in 1997 only the sums lost by wannabees were truly collossal.
I have no comments either way regarding RM but it needs a risk-taker to setup and offer these services but their enthusiasm may outreach their business ability. If not for the RM's of this world (love them or hate them) for wannabees it is Hobsons' choice of not giving up the day job unless you have the odd two years spare and £70,000 plus living expenses if you are to realise the dream.

Could someone tell me what the fate of the Chipmunk is? I am missing turning the world upside down and would be happy to rent from the owner direct if it is ever released from impound.

Ella - Try ringing XXXXXXXXXX during working hours, they have something to do with the Chipmunk and maybe one of the PA23's. Or you could ask Murgy on the new Comed number which is XXXXXXXX.

Yep it is G-KH. Well what can I say RM back on his feet not that he was ever off them doing what all excellent business men do and thats getting back into it without placing there head in the sand. From all the info i have on the situation trust me watch this space.. Go on RM show them all what your'e made of, and get back up there as the top flight training school in the country. GOOD LUCK RM. Oh buy the way those who have stabbed ya in the back just remember what comes around goes around twice as hard.

Wassuupp, with regards to your message, I lost a lot of money when the old Comed(very clever) went bust so I don't know what you are so happy about. Great RM has started up again and I like to see people do well but the fact remains he lost people a lot of money. Have you ever thought of sparing a couple of moments to wonder what happens to the so called little people who just wanted to fly and recieved this crap for their trouble. I take it your not going to be funding my nights out down the pub are you. OH i forgot, you are obviously a person full of money and something else(won't go into that) that you don't care but I'd love to meet you down at Blackpool Airport and tell you what I really think. As the saying goes, what goes around, comes around.

Lee 22 first of all let me tell ya a few things about me im nearest dam the same age as ya and prob earn the same money as ya.AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!! I lost money at comed to (shocking but true)... The difference between me and you is i can put things into perspective, yes i am peeed off i lost money just like you and you have every right to be. I respect (RM) because he is not burrying his head in the sand, hes getting on with it and will credit something like 50% of your old account when you start flying, u already no that.Trust me when companies fold any money u may have invested or had on account goes you get nothing well unless your an official creditor. Give (RM)credit for what he is doing. AS FOR SAYING IM SOMETHING ELSE OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO SAY FULL OF CRAP well the answer is no. I just accept whats happened and get on with it, carry on flying and enjoy it. As for mtg me in BPL no probs cya at the hangar sometime and go for a drink. To bottom line it buddy I no its annoying but lifes a bitch!!!!!! cya soon
