Due out tonight to Cancun I believe.

Taking an engine out for an FCA aircraft down there.

No idea if it's coming back in with the sick one though.

I Don't know if it has already being mentioned, But a friend of mine informed me that PIA 747's have being 'Banned' from UK Airspace, I saw what looked like a PIA 747 over Huddersfield on Wed ?

I have not read anything about a 747 ban.

The 747 was descending towards MAN @ 1555.

Regards.

Go back and ask your 'friend' to substantiate this statement.

Try Google for 'airline blacklist' (search 'UK') and perhaps see if you can find this? I cannot.

Boac & Byalphaindia

There is an article in the January edition of Airliner World.
Briefly, PIA suspended all B747 operations to Europe due to restrictions imposed by the CAA following inspections carried out on PIA flights to Europe made by B747, B777 and A310 aircraft. The B747 flight suspension came into effect early November.
Last Wednesdays PIA flights were operated by B777 aircraft.

IS the 747 ban still operational? I know they have been flying into LHR, although the 777s are still serving MAN.

And does anyone know about the AA 767 landing at MAN late morning on Wednesday? It wasn't a scheduled arrival as far as I could make out - so assumed it must be some kind of med/tech divert of another flight or a return from a departed Manchester flight?

MON A330 Hyraulic Problems?

Though I saw a Monarch A330 landing at MAN on Monday morning with gear bays doors hanging down.

Presuming everything turned out ok?

Red & yellow aircraft parked at MAN

Anyone know what the red + yellow high engined/high wing aircraft parked on a remote stant opposite Condorde at MAN is? Apologies for the criptic description, I taxied past it and was sitting on the wrong side of the aircraft to get a good look at it...

I cannot remember the colour scheme but you could have been looking at the BAe RJX, the only (I think?) example of the advanced 'flying sausage' (BAe146).

Here is a picture
