Spectators Balcony (Spotters Corner) If you're not a professional pilot but want to discuss issues about the job, this is the best place to loiter. You won't be moved on by 'security' and there'll be plenty of experts to answer any questions.

Lovely Photo!

Not impressed with the meal on offer. Do Alpha do a fly-thru service?

It is Simple

You are an SQ 777 pilot.

Do You

1. Sit at your computer for hours composing fake pictures

Or

2. Point your camera out of the front window.

Don't worry about it folks, Sheenboy is obviously one of these people that cannot work out that some have talent , patience, opportunity and luck to take great photos but he doesn't and therefore they must be fakes.

The logic seems to be:-

good photos = fakes
mediocre photos = not fakes

Sheenboy, perhaps you would like to enlighten us with other photos you think are fakes or better still go onto airliners.net and express your opinions there.

Someone who taken 15000 "mediocre "photos i.e. not faked.

You are one big tw*t - read down the page and you see:

Thanks go to Dan R. who finally provided the convincing evidence that this photo has been faked. The true genesis of this picture can be found at Jez's Aviation Picture Gallery. Apparently the aircraft shown in the "back half" of the disintegrating 747 was in reality a retired Air France 747-100 used for experiments by the British Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA).

In your dreams, Walter Mitty!

I'm one big tw*t eh? Lovely. You can't see sarcasm when its obvious!!

Of course its fake, I realise it says so.

But if this was posted on here just as a picture I bet you'd still get hundreds of posters claiming it was real, they were there, they took the pic, they worked as an engineer on it etc etc ETC ETC

give me strength

Oh no! It's the old " I was being sarcastic and you didn't notice" routine. It is the cry of forum posters the world over when they have been rumbled.

Stuff reasoned debate with this bloke - it isn't worth the effort.

You are one big tw*t
Seconded

Gawd - I laughed! Never has anyone exposed themselves as a complete prat as successfully as sheenboy.

Sheenboy if you even vaguely believed that a 747, 'heavy-landing' or not, would disintegrate as shown then you need help! Perhaps your carer could arrange this.

'I was on the flight' he says. Love it!

Well, sheenboy has obviously not read Danny's 'rules' on language in posts and I think this thread has, anyway, started to disintegrate (no photos please of the event )

Sheenboy is threadbanned from this thread and let us hope we can settle down to a measured discussion on aviation photography.

Offending post now removed. Thanks PPP.

I'll not bother with the real or fake discussion..... Oh OK it's definitely real!

Bailey used to shoot with a Canon EOS 10D, but has I believe recently upgraded to the Canon EOS 1D MkII.

Hope that helps!

The proof...

Yes, the legendary Bailey is indeed on the 777 at SQ - as evidenced in the following picture:

Bailey greasing it on at AMS

Check the caption.
