I can reply to you in English.

I have no idea if they are planning another recruitment stage this year, us in the holding pool are still waiting for a call. The holding pool is valid for summer 2021 as well. A few days ago they asked us to update them immediately about our current notice period and whether we are rated or not.
As for the test, I would say ACE is a good start, but the test has also questions that only a person working for another operator would be able to answer, like questions on MEL items categories. Unless of course, you were already a genius during your ATPL theory days!

Thank you for you answer, banana Joe.

Regarding the ATPL, i did mine in 2018-2019, but due to the work, moving to other city etc i didn't kept it fresh, so basically i should start almost from 0 (not really, but you know, if i should now do a test, probably i will not succeed).
If i may ask you, could you explain us a little bit more about how was the theory? Which subjects they asked more about? I would like to focus on what really matters in an assessment and avoid the non-really-necessary-to-memorize-again..as far as i know, Vueling assessments are pretty similar to other major airlines and could be great if someone who succeed recently could give us as much info as possible.
I started this week with Op.Proc. and (as example), i don't know if i need to know how many fire extinguishers a plane must carry on regarding it's pax capability..from my ignorance on assessments, those kind of knowledges are necessary to pass EASA ATPL exams but i don't know what an airline is looking for... sure you get the point what i mean.
For now, i will keep working on my IFR rating. Fortunatelly, i have already a pilot job in aerial work and i can keep my logbook growing even if it's little by little, but you never know what can happend in the future.
And regarding the language in this forum, to me is fine Spanish or English even if my english it's not fluent enough. I understand it's "Spanish forum" but still i appreciate politness and the kind answers.

regards to everyone!

If you go back a few pages on this thread, you will find out my feedbacks from last September. All the questions were relevant from an operational perspective, not really reflecting the crap of current EASA ATPL exams. I prepared mainly with ACE and by reviewing chapter 8 of my current employer's OMA.
Review Lov Visibity Operators, All Wether Ops, RVSM regulations and requirements, etc. You find all of this information in Part-CAT.

https://www.part-aero.com/en/
Great site to navigate through the regulations.

How are they fairing with this Covid-19 mess? Have they received any Government support?

I am in the holding pool and they are not keeping us in the loop. I certainly can't blame them, we're definitely not their priority right now. I've been told they have only furloughed their employees for the time being (ERTE), but are they planning on redundacies in the future?
My hope, kind of, is that with Norwegian retreating, IAG might take on the void left by Norwegian with Vueling and LEVEL.

Unfortunately it is confirmed that there will be redundancy in the company in the near future.
Bases and number of employees affected are still undisclosed.
The are rumors about up to 40-45% of the pilots to be made redundant, but at this stage those are just that, rumors.
The company doesn't expect things to go back to 2019 before 2023, at the earliest.
Funny times ahead, good luck to everyone.
