Hi

I have a DGAC license and I am going to receive a B737 endorsmen.

I have the applications required by DGAC but do I need to send them any other documents.

MCC Certificate, License, log book,

If yes. Must it be original documents or can I send them copys

Translation:

If as i understood you have a Spanish license firsti of all good luck, it took me 4 month to get my rating on it.
The best way to get it as soon as possible is to go to Madrid directly and take with you copies of everithing and in particular:

License
Medical
Skill test form 1.240 (in Spanish otherwise they'll complain)
Simulator certification
Instructors, TRI/TRE Copy of licenses
Certificate of completition of the training
Identity Card or Passport
Copy of mcc
Last pages of logbook

You will then have to go to the 3rd floor (licencias) and get a form to fill and to descend to the main floor to make a payment to the bank which is there.
after this, with all the copies and your original (exept the obiously not like TRE license copy etc) you go on the same floor to the "rejistro" and get all of them "compulsados" by the employee.
If you did everything correctly you'll get your license in 20/25 days otherwise after more than a month you'll receive a letter home stating what's missing.

Here is the telephone number of Mr. Valle who's the ONLY person in charge of giving support and in which hands all the type endorsment requests end up before getting the OK to get the license printed.

0034 915978584

Expect a phone call answer rate of 1 every 1 week and beleive me you'll have to get crazy on continuously try and try to get in contact with this.....Omissis Omissis...very nice man.

Have fun and goooooood luck

Ciao

Thank you very much. It was very helpful information. The DGAC you described was not the DGAC in Madrid(4vientos airport).
Well I am really going to try to have all papers so I can get my license within a month. Do you know if its possible to fly without the "the real" license. J
ust with your "old" license and a paper that shows that you have passed the typerating course.
thanks again for your help,

I don't think it would be possible.
The DGAC i'm describing is i guess the only one, the one located at the "misterio de fomento" en los nuevos ministerios in Madrid city.

bye

paseo della castellana 67 madrid

from the airport of Barajas there is a direct line, i guess the subway station is "paseo della castellana" but i'm not 100% sure.
If you'll get a taxy it will cost approx 15€ and just ask him about the "nuevos ministerios".

cheers

Manuel, ¿sabes si hay que entregar la licencia original para que te anoten la habilitacion?...¿o me la puedo quedar mientras me hacen la nueva para poder seguir volando?
¡¡Gracias!!

I posted the same question on a Spanish forum and one pilot replied but I can not understand what he is trying to say to me. I tried a translation tool but it does not make any sense. It translates that I need many eggs and papers!!!

Can friendly soul please translate what his trying to tell me.

Hola.

Post Subway station

Hi! I hope that Manuelvi don't mind that I add some info on this subject. The subway stop is called "Nuevos Ministerios" is on the "pink, number 8 line". But you can arrived to "Nuevos Ministerios" by train and the stop is called the same. Look for the exit doors to "Paseo de la Castellana".
I have copied below you some info from the DGAC webpage http://www.fomento.es/MFOM/LANG_EN/D...IL/default.htm

Hi, Jimmy the Big Greek.

Please tell me if you had any success with the DGAC and all the paperwork they asked you before going into training. Thank you.

Cheers.

hi jimmy the BG, what that guy was telling you is basicaly this:

hi, i don´t know if you have your HT (habilitacion de tipo=type rating) yet, if you have it and you didnt tell them (DGAC) that you were gonna do it, you better go there cause they´re gonna ask you a buch of papers.

If you don´t have it yet (type rating), stop by and let them know you are gonna get it.

How fast you get your licence depends on you telling them you are gonna get it, so they can authorize you.

That´s pretty much what the guy is saying, i dont know how precise the information is, but one good thing to do would be to call that guy manuelvi told you, Mr valle, so you get relyable information.... you know how they are in DGCA, right.?
Gook luck, and let us know any updates, i´m sure i´ll have to go through the same process one day.
