Ezy...ryr
hola...veo q hay bastante confusion...!
yo vuelo en Ryanair y, como dicho antes me voy para ezy entro de un mes. La situacion actual es: easyjet SOLO coje a gente con 200 horas a travez de CTC (cadets). no te pagas abilitacion pero el sueldo te lo reducen bastante.
Tienes q hacer una serie de simuladores y pruebas y, si le gustas, te ponen en un "holding pool" hasta q te llamen ( CTC trabaja con muchas companias aqui in inglaterra asi q podrias trabajar por otras tambien!!).
RYR no se apoya a ninguna organisacion. Tu envias tus datos y luego, si tienes suerte (....) te llaman para hacer la prueba al sim con entrevista personal y una tecnica. son dos maneras diferentes de seleccion de pilotos.
Para el type rating RYR se apoya a SAS (Estocolmo) y CAE (Amsterdam). No se bien como va el tema cadet-SAS/CAE y creo q no sea verdad...ryan pone muchas cosas en el sito que no son verdad (sueldo por ejemplo..) Lo q puedo decirte es q personalmente no conozco a nadie que hizo algun MCC alli para luego entrar en RYR...
Ambas escuelas son muy caras: aproximadamente una abilitacion de tipo te sale 28.000 €.
Yo hize el MCC en DUB...Muy contento! si necesitas info mandame un PM vale?

There are not as many pilots from Air Nostrum, Swiftair,... as you think who are willing to work for Vueling, Clickair, Ryan,... because they have to pay at least 30.000€ to work for those airlines and they know what their salaries are. Probably they will earn less than what they do at they actual airlines and considering those 30.000€ (at least)....

If you consider that most of this pilots have families, houses to pay, apart from that the debts with the bank due to their pilot courses you will see that even wanting to move to Vueling, Clickair, Ryan,... they can't.

Vueling: Fairén is still ruining an otherwise good company
Just had an interview. Passed everything but got the sorry letter, because Fairén doesnt like someone that has worked there from the start and that
is a good personal friend of mine.
Fair Hiring Policy does not exist there....Im over 11K hours, typed in 330, 319 and 320 etc etc and RESIDE IN BARCELONA.
Think carefully before applying and MAKE SURE HE LIKES ANY CONTACT YOU MAY HAVE THERE.

Pero aunque el salario es muy mal, poco a poco lo incrementarán con los horas de vuelo y puesto no? ¿Si no, de dondé han sacado que algunos pilotos pueden ganar alrededor de €8'000 al mes?

What is wrong with you guys??
The problem here is that pilots without a job are willing to take anything even if they have to pay to fly. There goal is to build some hours on a decent jet so they can later move on to another company and get paid for their job properly.Obviously, by the time they have achieved that experience, they have mess up the other fair paying airlines. And then is too late to find a job that pays properly. They moan about it, and never realize that it was them who started that situation. Finding your first job is not easy. Hence, it is like the dog that tries to bite its own tail.
I know that we all need a job to live on. However, taking it on the guys who are trying to achieve good terms in their own company is not going to help. At easyJet Balpa is trying to negotiate the decent conditions that their pilot need and deserve.
The fact that in Vueling, Click, or Ryan there is no recognized union is a major issue in those companies. I know, that at Ryan, Michael O'Leary has done, and is doing, his best to keep unions away. He is profiting from all the inexperienced guys to drive the FO's wages down.
I can understand a guy without a job willing to work for bread. Yet, I cannot understand that same guy criticising the people who are trying, in their own time, to get good terms and conditions. That makes me sick.
I fly with many new, unexperienced guys who have, loan after loan, succeeded at finding their first job. They moan about their conditions. And that is understandable. Nonetheless, if I were to find anyone of them criticising a union guy the way I have seen in these topic, I would make his life hell.
Please guys, back yourselves up. We are a group. Do not go back stabbing your collegues.

you are absolutely right. And I totally agree with you.
But, there is alwaya a "but"..., the word "me" comes always before the word "us". And this is what is destroying this profession. You are always looking for find better conditions for YOURSELF. And at the beginning you would do everything they ask you for having some flight hours logged in your logbook isn't it? cos you think that one day, that effort will be paid back.
I've been lucky, and I've started to fly for big airline and I remember that the first day i was enthusiastic because finally my first contract (ridicolous) was signed!
But after a while you start to think as a pilot and realize that that contract is crap and IT IS crap because there are guys (like me 2 years ago), that are desperate for a job...and now you want contract like the Iberia, Air France, BA guys...
So what's the solution? I'm afraid but there is not solution for that. We are going down and the only thing that can save us are the unions. With no Unions no future for us!
Did you heard about the court case in Dublin beetween ryr pilots and airline? well the pilots lost their battle. Again.
