What do you all think about this? Good oppurtunity for a recently qualified EASA pilot?

It would be much better for a recently qualified pilot to get their hands dirty and do some practical flying rather than be a second officer. Gain some useful flying hours as your first job, preferably one where you can actually log some PIC time or P1/US time.

But that's just me; no doubt the children of the magenta would jump at the opportunity to be dressed in a pilot uniform only to operate as a drink waiter and take down drink orders for the other crew.

Airlines deduct cruise officer time as that just what they do... paperwork and radio communications during cruise. It's a waste of time unless you one makes a career at that particular carrier.

this second officer role should be abolished , it offers no constructive
active participation in the cockpit , one flies the other does radio and
Monitoring, there is no need for dead heading crew,

all this is a personal opinion, however if you think the 2nd off role is you
passport for a secure position in any airline line up and wait,

happy landings,

All the SO positions will be filled by Fiji nationals. If you are not Fijian you wont be considered. It's the national airline of Fiji, and there are government and airline objectives to give Fiji nationals employment and advancement opportunities as a priority over expatriate employment - much the same as is the case in most parts of the world. Cheers

Mine went straight through without delay. I received a quick generic email back saying the have received my application etc.

Would anyone have an idea on what the T&C might be......without the BS?
