Why do u think they are hiring in the first place ? The turn over of employees in this company is ridiculously high.

I suggest u get a sample of the roster pattern from the ex-pilots in this company.

There are better gigs are out there, seek and u shall find.

Flying recency

Hello,

I haven’t flown for over 6 months, is there any requirement for foreign ATPL conversion in CAAS about last flight in 6 months or in Scoot?

I think you need to have IR (or LPC???) and medical valid within 6 months to start the license conversion.

You will need a valid PC, but you must also hold a Class 1 CAAS (Singapore) medical before you convert your license..

Scoot 787

After how many days of the assessment do they give you the result and inform you about the joining date? As of today I'm already 7 months since my last flight so will that be a problem?

Scoot ts and cs

Hi everyone,

Would anybody care to inform me on the current first officer contract at Scoot? I see they're recruiting and out of interest I would be interested to know what the pay is on the airbus fleet for a First Officer, what the staff travel is like, any other perks? Thanks in advance for your time

I wouldn't recommend going to this outfit. They take the phrase 'low cost' to another level. 95% of their flights are red eye ones. You are only entitled to a bottle of water on board. Staff travel is only subload on Scoot and the main airline SQ. 28 days of annual leave and if you are lucky 8 days off a month. Pay increment which is supposed to help with inflation is pegged to performance. So in their opinion, the worse performing guy is not affected by inflation as much as the better performing guy. No other perks I can think of. Oh did I mention that the cabin crew share rooms on layovers?

Once upon a time I fly down from HK for a DEC Airbus interview.
I left their "interview" in the first 30 minutes of the brief. The conditions were unliveable in Singapore due to cost.

Don't be fooled. There are many other jobs out there. Scoot is desperate and only seeks those more so.

I am not affiliated with Scoot. But mind you they got six months bonus pay for 2022.

Does that make up for some of the financial shortfalls? I know, such a bonus is not a given every year.

Here’s a funny example, years ago some smart alec thought it was a good idea to do an “ice bucket” challenge in the aft galley. So what happens when you pour a bucket of ice / water over a cabin crew in flight?
