Corporate Flying
Hey Guys,
I have been doing extensive research on corporate aviation sector in India, it seems pretty stable, at least more stable then airlines themselves, but one thing I could not find is the entry level requirements for an F/O. I found one thread on PPRUNE dated 2007, not much help.
Also, anyone in corporate aviation sector care to comment on job futures, schedule, preferred companies to work for etc, or any other info you can provide about corporate Aviation..
Thanks in advance.

Lol safelife
Lol, I can not decide if you were being a little smug by pointing me to that thread, or were you just supporting the notion that it is more stable comparatively, from what I read 38% duty is a rumor and if you are importing an aircraft for a charter company it is nil to none.
Anyways, do you or anyone else have any comments on entry level expectation of these fractional ownership companies/ prospects of future growth/ working environment etc.
Thanks.

NO major secrets there.
First of all Private jet owners don't entertain freshers quite easily specially in case where there is no aviation cell in the company, you can of-course try your luck in general aviation, like operators having VLJ, turboprop, Certain general aviation company like to hire low time pilots to improve their crew availability, but low time or freshers for them typically may mean 500-1000hr. and they mostly prefer defense pilots for their proven Discipline and punctuality even under pressure which i believe is quite common in this Sector in order to entertain those VIP, VVIP clients.
Even in most cases influence may generally not work quite well in order to get into a firm.
So for fresher in India, paying more attention towards airline or planning on for a flight instructor make more sense is my understanding.
Hope that helps.

@ teja
It does help thank you very much for your insight,
just curious what makes you say that even influence may not help break into this sector of industry, rest assured I don't have that kind of contacts but I was curious if that came from personal experience (as in are you in corporate sector) or you know someone etc.
Thanks again for your insight.
