India CPL Ground Classes
Hello Aviators,
I am based in Gurgaon ( India). I am a working professional ( IT). I aim to be an Airline pilot. I have already completed my CLASS 1 & Physics & Maths for 12th.
I need assistance to get the reference & contact details of best CPL Ground Classes based in Delhi/Gurgaon Instructors for my CPL Exams as earliest.
Note : I can only do part time coaching , Also i am aware of Mr Duggal/Seth are few good ones, Surinder does not takes CPL classes anymore i think.
Please suggest me the best available reference & guidance to plan my training.

Haven't been to his class personally but know a few guys who did, Tapash kar he is in Kailash hills.
Small classes and no attitude or ego problems like the rest of these honchos in delhi.

Why dont you tell him to go to an online pilot shop and buy those books instead of saying download it from a torrent. I am sure you and everyone of us know its illegal to download them on torrent. Just Imagine the people who put in their money, hard work and time preparing those books and then some of you just rip it off from the internet.

I will definitely look for both the options,
1) Opt for GC Or
2) Oxford Books
Can anyone please give me more details about the oxford books, who is the publisher , Version etc..
Is this a like Japessen Books with the dumps of questions or a subject based books.

Self study is good but i still recommend a 1-2 months ground classes will really help you build a solid foundation and you will be able to approach the oxford or any other books more positively .
Plus you din't mention if you have a CPL or not

I agree with you Yash,
I haven't done anything yet on the aviation front.
Looking forward to complete my CPL India exams first & will plan training to get the 200 Hrs as per DGCA Norms.

Well I had a PPL (FAA) last year and they didn't let me sit for the Oct attempt. When I emailed the CEO VP Massey, he said I need a CPL before I can sit for the CPL conversion exams.
This is what it exactly said, "(4) You are holding PPL from foreign country , therefore not eligible to writeCPL papers. You are eligible to appear fpr the conversioin to Indian PPL only "
And of course you need some flying hours before you can apply for a computer number.

1)Of course you need to have a foreign cpl of you want to sit for the CPLCG exams. You can sit for the CPLG exams just based on a computer number
2)No you do not need anyflying hours for a computer number

edit: With the new syllabus in place it remains to be seen whether guys sitting for conversion will have to give all 5 papers or a composite exam like earlier.

@issues you are right about the fact that you did need some flying experience for issue of computer no . and writing the CPL exams for the october 2010 attempt and its previous attempts .
However during the October attempt the DGCA had rejected a lot of applications on the basis of these . They even rejected applications who a foreign CPL but was expired ( phillipines for eg has 1 year validity )
There was a lot of complaints at the DGCA office because of these rules .
Hence they published a new CAR with lots of changes to these rules
These include removal of flying experience for issue of computer number as for appearing in the CPL exams .
It also removed the fact that you needed a reason to appear for the special exam like a job or expiry of CPL papers ( This clause was removed on the 6th May 2011 when they decided to stop the special session )
This new CAR was published on the 12th November 2010 much later than the last date for application for the October attempt which was 15th september 2010 . Hence the old rules applied for those who applied for the october attempt . So V.P Massey was right at the time due to the existing CAR .
However this new CAR was published on the DGCA website on 24th November 2010
On another note you can only write the CPLCG exams only if you have a foreign CPL . Otherwise you will have to sit for the CPLG category .
I have friend who does not have a single hour of experience but has appeared for the CPLG exams ( he managed to pass one ) due to the new rules .
Back then you even needed to get a ground class certificate to appear for the CPL and ATPL exams . Thankfully they have removed that requirement now .
