Pilot Cadet program

Hey Guys,

Is there anybody who know about any type of upcoming cadet pilot programs, in which the company give you the type rating but you have to sign a bond of like 5 to 7 years??

If anybody knows about such program please post your comments.
Thank you.

They are rare nowadays in India, if there is one as such you need to pay for everything and job is guaranteed only if you pass all the tests or else you are at risk.

As far as im aware India does not have any "cadet" pilot programs.

A real cadet pilot pogram is like the ones BA and Lufthansa run, the best candidates are selected with no prior experience and trained and bonded to the company.

No handing over a lot of money to something called a cadet program....

Singapore Airlines came to India looking for cadet pilots

But you will need a college degree as well as meet the medical fitness requirements

Forget it man, there are no real cadet programme in india...all they look for is money, now Indigo is asking for 45 lacs to be a pilot...yes there are demands for pilots now but not like before where you can get job with just a CPL...now you have to have the ratings and hrs or else PAY PAY and PAY....and remember the salary is not really high in Indigo...you have to go with something like 80 000 per month for some month then 1.4L for the rest of your career as FO...Forget it man, go do a degree in engineering and get a stable job...you will not regret it or else if you go for CPL then its risky if you lucky you can get in by exams and all or else you will lose money and you wont like it...I been waiting for over 2.5 years now with no job and I am regretting it...I wish I never did this pilot course all I did was waste 25 Lsc and now nothing......anyways its up to you

@vdaff

Why do you keep popping out of the blue in every thread and shout out your pessimistic views to the budding pilots here? Go away...go very far away. Why don't you just go do a degree in engineering and get that stable job and salary you wanted, rather than polluting the minds of other pilots with your not-so-welcoming thoughts? It would be good for you and for everyone else. I understand your frustration and what you're going through. It has been almost 2 years since I've been waiting to get into an airline. But I have no complaints. If you're not patient enough, that doesn't mean the rest should join you.

Rob Sponge,

Great thinking, young man!! This world is for positive thinkers and optimists like you. There is a verse in Urdu, 'paiwasta reh shajar say, umeday bahar rakh' meaning, Stay attached to the twig and hope for spring.

Best of luck

Alpha Aviation Academy’s Multi Crew Pilot License (MPL) it is for 44,000 AED

But, in the end they give you a job in Air Arabia!

So, do visit there site..take my advice, things are too difficult in india, so if you are fresh pilot without any prior experience then this program is the best for you!

All the best!!

I am not being pessimistic but I am trying to say the current scenario, today its money that matters, Jobs are there but you need to shed out lacs, the days of airline sponsoring are over, even if you get hired you need to pay around 15 lacs to the airlines....I dont have anymore 15 lacs...How long ar you going to keep saying, hey man hang in there the jobs are coming, yes they are coming but they will take away huge cash from your pockets, having already spent 25 lacs on CPL, many of us doesnt have the money to shed out for ratings on the 737 or 320, yes I am going to F off after my degree if i dont get a pilot job because most unemployed pilots now will never get a pilot job..........The good times are already here, the very good times that we all be waiting for over 3 years...Indigo 180 planes on order, go air just ordered, Jet and spice hiring...yes there are 100s of jobs now...but what do they all have in common? they all ask you 15+ lacs, yes they will deduct from your salary but where you will get the 15 lac and moreover I am sure you all know backdoor hiring, most of these exams are eyewash, the ones that does politics and that are very fortunate to born with a silver spoon are the ones that are getting in.....many of us know this and seen this

if you want to rip of all your parents money then yes go ahead

and @spicy Air Arabia doesnt guarantee a job, the academy guarantee AN INTERVIEW ONLY, if you fail the interview then your lax will be gone,.......and a MPL is useless in India and in GA sectors.

In India CADET pilot program have been DUD.
Spicejet have not honoured their cadets contract.
Indigo charged way too much without providing any sponsorship for their cadets and with their new program its same again

MPL is new concept used by Cebu pacific / Zest Air in Philippines and Air Arabia along with some pair of airlines from down under.Clark Aviation provides MPL in Clark,Pampanga,Philippines and program started in 2007 with some Indians getting job in Zest Air /Air Arabia in 2010 from that program.
You need to follow those threads.

PS : Cadet programs means sponsor will provide (30-50) % scholarship in return of job to cadet with heavy bond's on part of cadet.

Just one advice - Dont fall for pricey cadet programs in India.Do enquire about foreign cadet programs and eligibility of nationalities.

VDAFF - Boy try to be a MAN and stop bitching about everything. Not a single Airlines asked you to do CPL nor they told you to spent 25 lakhs....stop blaming current situation of Indian Avitaion. You are not helping thread starter by any means rather your showing how to be a SULK.

Dont fool yourself with plane orders by Indian Airlines.Same thing happend in 2005-2007 when every harry went for CPL and turned into VDAFF of now.
Please contribute thoughts or ideas or bloody anything that can help PPRUNERS.All your posts resembles same, atleast have some creativity.

I can only feel how long will PPRUNE TOWER tolerate your posts before showing you the BOOT by dumping you as BANNED.

This offer from IndiGo is not a proper cadet pilot program but a way for them to make money.... Simple as that, true cadet pilot programs require no money upfront and recover some of the cost over a period of 5 years once the "cadet" is online.
