Post After RTO

Hi all ,

My partners and me we are talking about the what is the next step after RTO and the brakes temperature. Anyones knows what should we do after RTO ?

We have 2 conditions:

1-If we are going to T/O again (suppost we have an animal on the runway)
2-If we are not going to T/O again(suppost we have an engine fire/flame out)

In both case, should we check "Performance in flight" from the QRH to check the temparature of the brakes ?

If anyones can give me any information , i will appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

Cheers.

Exclamation

This is some information i got it from Boeing Procedure , onyle in case if we are attempt another T/O .

"When the airplane is stopped, perform procedures as required and consider the following:
- The need to proceed to an emergency evacuation (assess quickly the situation)*
- The possibility of wheel fuse plugs melting (see Brake Cooling Schedule for brake cooling time and precautions before
attempting a new takeoff)
- The need to clear the runway and the requirement for remote parking.
- Advising the ground crew of the hot brake hazard.
- Completion of Non-Normal checklist (if appropriate) for conditions which caused the RTO"

Please , any opinion will be appreciated.

Although similar each aircraft type will have a different procedure, add to the your company ops and you have a lot of rules to consider. So why not wait it out until you get a type and a job and worry about it then...

But in most aircraft you cannot just take off again, you must consider speed of the aborts and a brake/wheel cooling schedule... but again each type is different.
