why not try calling the Medical Cell of DGCA and ask the medical officer directly??

If your company is trying to change the rule, I think its too little too late.
They have had a year nearly now to complain, plus the initial period of about a month to voice a complaint which no one seemed to do when the rule was in draft stage. I do hear on the radio a lot of expat voices flying VT airliners at the moment over India, probably the most I have heard in 2 years which is strange considering the medical issue.

A lot of people did leave or were forced to leave because of this medical, in my apartment building there were 14 expat pilots for different airlines, now there are 2 all due to the medical !

Good, sanity at last. It is also refreshing to see some outfit, apart from a few individuals, actually grow a set of testicles and make a stand against this total nonsense.

Agreed something should have been done a long while ago. We were all warned.
However a lot of people have lost their jobs over this. I walked before I was pushed. If they change the rule now there maybe some very unhappy people who have just been pushed.
