Jetstar Pacific
Hi guys!
It has been a while since the last update here on pprune. Is it really as bad as announced on ppjn? Maybe some of the guys flying down there could give their view on things.
Many thanks!

Currently 5 * B737-400 & 2 * A320.
2 * B737-400 about to leave & another A320 arriving in about a week & another to follow in about 4 weeks. Projection is possibly 7 * A320's by December & 1 * B737-400.
Pilot numbers depend on how many B737 pilots accept T & C's for conversion to A320. SCANDISTRALIAN is on the mark.
Everything is below market value nowadays- in terms of T & C's for pilots globally-most of us are just trying to survive.

So if it's an agency job, do you have to go through the whole Jetstar / QF recruitment process?
Any chance to move back to Australia once you're in? (Yes I have Aus passport)
Do they upgrade?
Do the drivers get QF staff travel?

No-the process is 1.Interview-by phone if necessary 2.On line Psyc test (cost $70 ?) 3.One * four hour simulator screening.

You will not get an Australian Seniority number but I am sure you would be given a start in Australia on the bottom of the list.
Do they upgrade? Yes-all the time & is preferable to DEC.
Do the drivers get QF staff travel? No- but you get J* which has quite an extensive network now.

@Dream Land, thats what keeps the airline flying buddy...
@AJAX, it definately helps get a foot in the door with Jetstar Aus, but you still have to go through the full selection with JQ prior to joining
