yaa buddy u r rite that the batch has paid only half of the the cost i.e 7.5L....but that is the 1st installment before the training....they will have to pay the remaining 7.5L after completion of the training.....self sponsored training has become the trend now.........but this deal is better than doing type rating on ur own....at least u r assured of a job after that...rather than getting an LOI.....!!!!!!

buddy going by the rumours it is still a possible that u mite the call letter till 28th july....but reading the posts from Viraaj Shah and Stiffy pro the chances look really slim......but still don't give up hope boss n continue preparing coz u mite be lucky to get a call.....all the best n let us know if u happen to get a call...tc...!!!

For technical and aerodynamics i prefer peter godwin and for performance and jet engine nothing better than the kingfisher's, jet's or deccan's notes if you can arrange them.

ya those notes r tough to arrange for sure....!!! ppl having them don't share them easily....!!!!......thanx for info on tech n aero dyna books....how about books from Oxford buddy....heard from a lot of people that they are the Bible for any Airline Exam....n if u study them u r sure to crack any entrance exam....how true is that?????

Very true, oxford jeppesen atpl are the bible but common it's a set of 15 books minus 2, and to read such kind of books you need an ample amount of time...
So it's better to stick on to your GSP's and other notes rather...

pissing off!

this way ppl without contacts would end up no where..

ya buddy they r very common now...everyone just keeps sayin abt oxford....thats y i was a bit skeptic about airlines using them......n true that it requires loads of time n patience to finish them......u r rite that GSP's n notes seem more practical.....have u heard about a book called technical pilot interview....??? any idea on howz that one....heard abt it frm a friend n she was telling me to buy along wid her.....is it worth buying???

buddy this was bound to happen coz of such a bottleneck situation...n ppl with jugaad try to find the easy way out instead of struggling for openings....so they use money, contacts etc etc to get them thro....happens in almost all other industries but its felt more here coz there r just a handful of airlines....n this situation wud continue till the so called BOOM TIME doesn't return....which is not gonna come for a long long long time.....so as jimmygill rightly pointed out, the situation is indeed sad....call it whatever luck or destiny....!!! so max that we can do is Hope and dil pe haath rakh ke say AAL IZ WELL.....!!!!

P.S- Hoping for clarity in this exam is like hoping for the sun to rise from the west one day....y i m saying this is coz sending of call letters episode last week was unclear so u only think about these exams....tc mate!!!!

i know exactly wat you mean but today i got jsut a lil to frustrated bout it all was wondering wats the point even studying if there is no light at the end of the tunnel!
you pointed out about the call letters and coming to think of it, hell yeah you right bout it!
but like you said... "all iz well" jai hind!
