So if it's not backward, and is available and works then use it to remove what needs to be removed. Focusing on medical requirements and standards is not wrong per se, but the reason to do so seems only to try & remove expat pilots.
Sir!!Before actually bashing me for a snippet of my argument if you could please go through my posts on the topic, there wouldn't have been any need of you & me wasting spaces. I'm infact supporting Expats. Its the people who calling a writ wrong I'm against with. A writ is just the courts way to invite more info from the responsible bodies DGCA in this case. All my argument is a writ is gooooooood!! As this is democratic, nothing to do with aviation.

xuejiesandi: Where did I bash you? Jimmygill asked from where I based my o"underlying principle" & I quoted you. Nothing more, nothing less, nor did I pass comment about your post..... My reference being that Indians should use this system you refer to in order to clean up the corrupt filth that is so damn BLATANT!!!!!!!

Your democratic system is at complete ransom to greed, corruption & bribery. Are the popular opinions, wants or needs of the people (in this case the aviation sector) being fulfilled or are they at the mercy of the greedy, immoral and corrupt officials AS PER THE PRESENT INDIAN AVIATION SYSTEM as I & so many other pilots (foreign & national) bear witness to? So, my reply to Jimmygill in answering his question to me was for nationals to use the system (that I quoted from yourself) to fix the problem IF it is as you say. And yet so many nationals on this forum base their "opinions" (& that's all they are without education, training & experience) on xenophobic ideals where the actual internal filth is what is polluting the Indian aviation industry.

(And I think VIMANMAN's entire post was utter sarcasm!!)

Slow down! Read and COMPREHEND first before "wasting spaces" here, as you said. We seem to be on the same side.....

So, after all this I am going to take the advice of rdr (without the mongrel slur I must say) as well as drive73's, itsobrokenagain, Burger Thing, and Phil Squares and leave this thread.

My final comment as said before:
You can't see what you refuse to look at and you can't change what you deny needs fixing. And so the standards keep getting lower......

Jimmy: Come on, get real. You seem to want to argue for argument's sake. I do not need medical credentials to view a grossly over-weight, chain smoking pilot / person as being unfit. Common sense. I have more than enough credentials (tertiary and flight / airline experience) to gain an educated point of view. And even without them common sense & logic should prevail.
I am real toptup, I can't get any more real. I know you have had tertiary education, world wide airline flying experience, and I guess may be you are a doctor too, and may be a certified aviation medical examiner, but can you give a verdict by merely having a look at an obese-chain-smoker that he is not fit to fly. (and thereby conclude that Indian medical system is corrupt)

Now you may believe what you want to, but I believe no professional aviation medical examiner will give a verdict the way you gave.

I am not arguing from argument's sake, I am arguing because your prejudiced disposition is lowering the quality of what you write, and hence in some way weakening the impact of your other points which when independently seen deserve much more respect.

Hey All

TopTup,
I think leaving it is the right thing, I'm doing the same. Just wanna make it clear that I never have been Anti-Expat, as I'm an Expat myself, & I love being an expat. Infact, I joined aviation so that I can be an Expat, best way to know this world.

Thanks All!!!

Vimanman

Although I unsubscribed this thread but I think this requires my reply, as I don’t wanna “feel any one sorry for me”, I don’t need that.
  • I didn’t know your earlier quote was a joke. I didn’t have any medium to know that. That very post gave me the impression of coming from a poser. As you know there are a lot.
  • You may label me as wanna be Sherlock Homes, but yes I do have a habit of checking up on, whom am I replying. I still think that is a good practice.
  • In light of current info, I agree my comments were overboard & I have no shame in apologizing for the same.
Yes! I was wrong about you & I apologize profoundly.

I’m also editing my comments & hope this should repair some damage.

Um ya, The Indian corruption makes the US corruption look like baby play. You guys have your heads so far down a whole it's scary. You need to take the blinders off and look around a little. Not many nice places in the world let little kids crap on the street. I see this everyday on my way to the airport. This kind of stuff is not normal. Your attitudes are the reason. Do something about it, instead of treating it as normal. Instead of worrying about US corruption (which there's plenty of), Do something to make your own country better.
There isn't enouph space on pprune to list the corruption that happens on a daily basis in India.

one of the greatest tragedies is Indian Democracy. the tragedy is that it is such a crock of ****, and that you have people still trying to defend it.

I don't think they were defending corruption in India. They know it happens and they probably want it all cleaned up. Indians simply can't stand it when 'foreigners' point out faults with their country. No matter now bad the issue, they'll still defend their country's name. Its a form of patriotism I simply don't understand.

Yes, I am an Indian.

Thats BS.You have to be delusional to believe such nonsense. Things have changed here and continue to change. We are a vibrant democracy, thanks to free press and prudent judiciary. Anyone who has not noticed this progress is either a fool, or is biased.

Prudent Judiciary, LOL, thats classic, maybe you should talk to the bhopal victims about a little case that started in 1984, about this prudent judiciary.

Maybe you should talk to them too. They have been fighting for justice for over two decades instead of sitting at home and bitching about THE WAY THINGS ARE.It takes heart to do what they are doing. Also visit Sabrina Lal in Delhi.

Some may agree with this J.S.Krishna for what he is doing. Some may not.But the fact is that he believes in something and is fighting for it instead of bitching about THE WAY THINGS ARE on this forum. If the corruption here hurts you so much I suggest you follow his example too.
