New stalling speed

@Shabez

1) New stalling speed = (Normal Stalling speed) x square root (Loadfactor)
2) Load factor varies as the secant of the bank angle.

Given, stalling speed at 10 degree bank angle is 60kts
Therefore, Loadfactor at 10 degree bank angle is sec10, i.e 1/cos10 = 1.015
Substituting in 1), the normal stalling speed (without any bank) is 59.54kts

Load factor at 45 deg bank angle is sec45, i.e 1/cos45 = 1.414
Stalling speed at 45 deg bank = 59.54 x square root (1.414) = 70.8kts

Hope this helps.

25th April Exam - Cae Indigo Recruitment

Hye,

Receive a letter from Indigo for call of 25th april exam, but i have one doubt its written over that after selection of candidate Indigo does not guarantee job and only on basis of letter of intent we are supposed to go for type rating.

So my question is how far is it ok to go for only on their letter of intent paying 18L, or else i can go ahead and myself get type rated spending that much amount of money.

Kindly guide is it worth going ahead only on letter of intent to get recruited without guarantee of job or not???

Thanx & Regards,
Manisha Suvarna

@Manisha: Let me ask you a basic question. Do you feel more comfortable going and getting a TR on your own without any guarantee of a job? or with a LOI which, even though not a guarantee, is at least an official paper which states the company's intent to hire you?
To me the answer is very obvious.

According to me IndiGo requires a lot of FOs especially with the number of aircrafts they are getting. Just my 2 cents on the matter

@ Manisha
I advise you to go for Type rating on your own because it will save you time to the right seat and your money. there are many Simulator in US wich are cheaper than CAE,madrid.there is no harm of taking this step because the IndiGo's website clearly Dishes out the vaccancy for Type Rated Pilots regardless of which Simulator you are trained on.After having done that you can apply for Indigos entrance which will be an A320 Oriented exam.

ragarding the LOI it states that there is No Job Gurantee.(even if you do your TR)its only after clearing you checks you are in their team.
Just Read the FAQ on their web site

Thumbs up

@planeboy: You make it sound as if the A320 exam conducted by IndiGo is a walk in the park.

Don't you think it would be easier to do a check in the A320 sim than sit for a written exam which you require a lot more preparation and luck?

Please don't take me to be trying to run you down. I am just trying to have a conversation here since I too might take a decision based on this conversation

i support bombayhues in this regard..
because their A320 TR entrance is a tough one...8 guys managed to clear it out of 25 odd that had appeared on the 26th of march....even a few guys from CTE hyderabad did not manage to clear it..so it is a tough decision..but as far as i know many people are already in madrid or kuala lumpur doing their self sponsored 320 ratings as we speak..

@VictorFoxtrot: Thats what I heard too that a lot of the CTE guys weren't able to clear the IndiGo TR entrance exam. These guys are taught the 320 systems inside out for almost 4 months and if they are not able to clear it then it is saying something.

But then all said and done its a personal choice at the end of the day. Whatever one is more comfortable with. I personally would not do a TR without a job guarantee or an LOI.

As far as I have heard IndiGo has an excellent record when it comes to honoring LOIs

i advise you not to go for type rating because analysing your above opinion i think you generated a thinking in you that you can't clear the exams sorry to say but in future you won't be among those 8 guys who passed.

VMCG ≤ V1 ≤ VR / VMBE

VR cannot be less than less than 1.05 VMCA or 1.05 VMU

1.2Vs ≤ V2

1.1VMCA ≤ V2

indigo is conducting exams for a period of 5 days this time seems like they need pilots in big nos. or this could be due to the low passing rate too .
All the best to everyone who's appearing
