@sam8808
I was about to post the same this morning. Thank you for posting this.
Regarding the dates, they were up on 23rd Jan (Sunday) at around 11:30 in the night.
People (including me) were expecting the exams to be scheduled sometime around mid-feb.
I'm wondering if we, the students, can do about this. DGCA needs a spanking!

hi guys,
i am new to the dgca "exam schedule". I checked out the website and they mentioned 4 sessions for 2011. Dates for the january session have just come out, and they are in the first week of feb. Is this the norm? why call it the january session then. i am trying to give the april attempt, so i guess the dates will be sometime in may? I am coming in from overseas just for the exams, and have to get my leave approved atleast 2 months in advance! So much for planning

@superdunkaroos regulations only requires mugging questions and answers and the right notes, I cleared easily, studied for 2-3 days only. The oct. attempt questions from the regulation thread look very different from the July session, they might have added questions from the new syllabus, more on operations than the normal regs questions
The hardest to clear is the composite, coz that's where you need months of study for really good basics in navigation, radio aids and instrument and met. They are putting questions from FAA, JAA, and their own syllabus.

Hey guys the jan attempt was very fair and straight forward, it was simple stuff! I did well, I'm glad. I'm expecting a positive result. Hope it went off well for everyone else.

Yeah, I second that. All we are asking for is fair evaluation. I reckon this session was the easiest compared to the previous two regular sessions. Based on that, I hope the DGCA isn't strict with the whole evaluation process this time.

Hope for Transparency
The other day i was figuring out why DGCA couldn't release question bank, then found a few Decisions made by the information commission (CIC) where usually applicant who hasn't received sufficient information from RTI are scrutinized and made public for reference.
In this one of the case was of a candidate requesting the Question bank and as usually DGCA denying but giving the reason of denial. How ever an interesting point i observed there which could remotely of any help to people or cases like that of AviatorVette is the re-correction of paper under your observation, for more information and details read this link http://rti.india.gov.in/cic_decision...0082007_07.pdf
I am also curious to know pprune's view about how fair was dgca argument in this case and the cic decisioning.
Cheers
