Probably for you - Sitting in India I assume in Delhi off course

You probably forgot that the earth is rotating at 15 degrees per hour, and people sitting in California or Florida or Hawaii are still catching up.

So in reference, Thursday was a holiday for DGCA is what you are trying to mention right?

Check my post time - Yours' Friday and Mine Thursday.

So what is what ?

DGCA Recent Queries for Technical Gen and Technical Specific

The above recent link posted by Aviator only applies to CPL candidates only, it does not for CPLCG.

Sources: Friends who are yet to complete went to these dgca offices.

Resolution: It was a misprint as pointed out by some cut copy paste lol

Cheers

Opinion by: I am still doing my conversion with Air Regs left.

Clarification on the Pilot Exam form

Thanks Nikaviator!
As soon as I heard about that 2 more paper thing, I got a little paranoid about it too so I called the CEO, RK Piram to check up, I'll tell you what they said:
See, those papers are only if you want any specific aircraft endorsed on your Indian license after conversion. For example, if you've done your training on a C152 as your SE, and a BE76 as the ME, you don't have to give those exams. Only if you want anything more endorsed on your license, you will need to appear for a technical and a specific paper for that aircraft.
The gentleman who answered the phone was very patient and giggled as soon as I asked him my query, he said many people stormed the CEO demanding an explanation too about that pt. 6 in the instructions of the form. He has just been doing this since the morning.
So all in all, If you are a basic foreign CPL holder, and have done your training on 2 basic (SE and ME) aircrafts, you DO NOT have to give those exams.
Cheers

THANK GOODNESS

QUick question

Does anyone know if you need a minimum of 10 hours on a specific multi engine airplane to get it endorsed on you Indian CPL

I have 31 hours on a BE 76 and wanted to get a DA 42 Endorsement instead
( aircraft available and registered in INDIA VT-NFM )

Or is the cross country tests and general flying test enough ?

Also remember that Cyril, you will have to do a technical paper for DA 42 if you are doing it in India

I failed my regs and comp nav paper this july and i was just filling out the new exam form for the exams in oct 2010, i read all the new instructions but just to calm my mind, do we have to once again attach all our records like 10+2, log book, dob, (like we have been doing all these years) or is FAA CPL license enough ? ur response is highly appreciated plus any notes/question banks for the 2 exams would be highly appreciated, thanks once again

Hello guys,
Am going to US for my commercial pilot training next week and seeing how tough DGCA conversion exams are + long waiting time, i feel its better that i take some books related to it and start studying there after i get a hint of what all is taught. Its better studying for 6-7 months than come here and study for a month and give exams.

Can you please suggest some books which i can carry and which can help me in clearing the exams somehow. Navigation and meteorology.

I know the books can be bought from english book store, CP but which ones to buy?

Thanks

@aviatorvette...I don't think so....as the exam app. form for a normal or special exams session does not require you to submit the class one meds, so relax

Post DGCA conversion. Please help guys! whats is called valid foreign medical?

Hey all friends!
I am another soul aspiring to be a pilot. I am doing my conversion exams this November 2010. I need some light on the conversion flow chart mentioned by the DGCA.

1) One of the step says that we need to submit "valid class one foreign medical".

I did have my class one medical when i got my license. but now it is lapsed. So do i need to do the class one medical test again in Australia and submit a current class one foreign medical to DGCA or I can submit the same lapsed medical i had when i got my license?

2) Also please tell me about the signal reception test that is to be undertaken in the flying school. In Australia, we didn't have any such thing for cpl.

3) Please tell me how to obtain the verification letter from the tenth and twelfth standard boards. Do the boards give it to us or what really is it?

I greatly appreciate any help given.
Thank you!

@leinad

Not the time to be a pilot right now dude...wait. Unless you definitely have the right connections. You did right to hesitate. There are more than 3000 pilots on standby for work right now. Jetairways recently had a recruitment drive and only for 100 plus pilots. No other recruitment drive for 2010 so far for 250+ hrs pilots.
