If I'm not mistaken, this website is called The Professional Pilots Rumour Network, ergo, all threads are presumed to be rumours until proven otherwise. The information that I have here are well founded. These details were relayed to me by those people from Tair.

Of course I wish them well, havent you read all my messages?

Allowances were delayed for almost two months. I did not say that Tair did not pay the trainees their allowances. Read again.

Irresponsible statements and conclusions...if I were to cut and paste all the links here that concerns the management of Tair, then call me irresponsible and callous. But I have no intention of doing that.

ATO-CAB records are there for the taking, these are public documents. I read them and found out that their license will expire on july 2007, 2nd renewal.

This TAIR saga is really getting out of hand...i just read the cabin crew forum on it and can't help but feel sorry for the people who are hoping to join and been waiting for so long. MaxiMutt is the only realistic contributor to this topic...to date, i've seen 747-200's, 300's.400's...DC-10's..L1011's and even a 737-800 as the type of aircraft to be operated..Incredible. Even the routes are really out of this world..(Manila-Dakka, Bangladesh). On the Flight OPS side.. I know of one Pilot who resigned from a good flying job because he got offered a captain position on a TAir 747, and that was at least 9 months ago. This Pilot does not even have 5 minutes of left-seat time on a Turbo-prop. There is also a cessna 172 Pilot with barely 250 hours who got in as an FO for the same 747.He does not even have an Instrument rating. For cripe's sake people, wake up and smell the grass!!! You are just wasting your time!!

Truth Has Come Out

I was right all along when I said in my post that the temporary operating permit of Tair is set to expire on July 27, 2007. Skeptics and believers alike said some nice and bad things about me and my posts. It all boils down to one thing: that this fork tongue is saying the truth after all. Again, I stand by my posts and can readily substantiate every word of it. For those who scorned me, well, I am vindicated. I told the truth and did not give false hopes. Who is laughing now?

To THRUST CLB, I commend you for telling the truth as well. Yes, folks, there are pilot applicants of Tair who do not even have jet experience. Not even a good number of hours in a turbo prop plane and yet, here they are, training for the 747 plane. If you know this truth, will you still fly with them? Is this a flight to perdition? For those rah-rah cheerleaders of Tair, why dont you take the inaugural flight of these pilots who lack the necessary experience in flying a jet...for Pete's sake! And by the way, the so-called 747 training of the pilots is a mere ground schooling. They didn't even see the shadow of a 747 simulator.

Those pilots who were sent abroad were for the DC10 plane and not the 747, let's set the record straight. This DC10 group is for the cargo operation of Tair. How on earth can they mount an all dedicated cargo flight when they cant even provide a plane? This only happens in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...where everything happens in a stroke of a wand.

THRUST CLB...thank you for telling the truth.

P.S.

To be fair, there were also ex-PAL pilots who were so eager to join the flight deck of Tair. True, they have 747 experience.

But this is also true: all of them are way too old, in fact, overaged already. Now, let's see the age requirements of ATO-CAB for pilots shall we?

I would like to thank Hermione G. for this information.

talk about being TALKED ABOUT!

I say to Tair Airways for being so talked about here. Let us see, there are two sides of a coin, either this airline is doing things perfectly correct or the exact opposite.

I have been a member of various respectable forums being a pilot myself but this thread encapsulates (unfortunately for the advocates of Tair) a load of concrete information that is quite an anvil tied to the necks of the advocates and is just waiting to jump off board to the depths of the pacific thinking that it is a picnic down there.

Not to forget, I take the left seat everytime on the 744, lo and behold to the young pilots as stated on this site, take your time, earn your time, a bungee jump from a dragonfly to a whale is no laughing matter. I assume the stakeholders of Tair knows but I guess as long as you fellas are insured then the happier the people are behind the doors of the board room.

P.S. I would like to invite unemployed pilots to consider working here on the upper region of Asia, its not that bad after all. Just a suggestion.

Disturbing News

Thanks to Hermione G of Hogwarts School for this reliable information:
  • The loan of Tair Airways was rejected/disapproved by Global Finance. Mr Ramirez, in his infinite wisdom, submitted a letter of loan application (to Global Finance) to CAB as part of "proof of financial capacity." This was used as one of the documents submitted to CAB as part of their application for temporary operating permit. Problem: this loan application was not approved & was subsequently disapproved by Global Finance. Question: Why on earth will you submit a document which puports to be a proof of financial capacity when infact it wasn't approved yet?
Question: Where will they get the money right now?
  • The owner (same owner of Warner Barnes Travel Agency & a recruitment agency) is facing a lawsuit from the Japanese investors apparently for malversation (among others). The subpoena was given this week already. The money involved millions of USD that Tair needs to give back. This is disturbing since the owner has other legal obligations to deal with.
Rumour has it that the 2nd batch of their new management recruits are leaving soon. After all, how can a company work when there are obvious financial uncertainties? Infact, a well placed pilot with Tair is now seeking his luck with another start-up airlines. Talk about loyalty. It all boils down to money.

As for the pilots & cabin crew, goodluck! Dont count your blessings until the eggs are hatched.

No Training at PLC

It's definitely NOT true that Tair pilots are training in PLC. Lucio Tan won't allow another carrier based in the Philippines to be trained under PAL's wings. Except for Air Philippines of course, PAL's sister company.

Seems awfully quiet now.

Where are the cheerleaders of Tair now?

Tair

Hmmmm,

Interesting reading. It seems Tair has taken a number of key Cebu Pac people and this has not seemed to hurt BuPac. What is there status at this time? Are they ever going to fly? And how can they afford to pay everyone with zero revenue? All seems interesting.........

Paper Airline

There's a list of paper airlines in the Philippines and Tair is listed as the latest casualty. I forgot the website, I'll post it here.

Another airlines is in the offing, perhaps people of Tair should transfer there. Those Filipino pilots (supposedly will work for Tair) are either in India or with Phuket Air.

This is reality. Ambition gone awry.

Tisk Tisk

Well it seems that HogWarts school of Reliable Information has burned to the ground with the 2 MUTTS inside. Seems their Doom and Gloom for Tair was just a bunch of Hot Air. Tair will be flying and i Guess the mutts won,t be seen or heard of again. But now that it is going to happen i suppose they will just spread their reliable information somewhere else. Good for Tair we need their service to Philippines and i will be on one of their first flights.

Smile Tair First Flight

Congratulations, Slickbrick. You deserve to gloat. It is your reward for holding true to the dream. TAIR is another great opportunity for us, Filipino pilots to shine and raise our true value in the airline industry.

Kelan ba talaga first flight. To where?

Really Now?

1. WHEN is Tair going to fly? WHEN is their inaugural flight? Can you be more specific as to the exact date of their maiden flight?

2. Did Tair get the necessary permit to fly to KSA? Based on the annals of ATO-CAB, there are only two carriers that are allowed to fly MNL-KSA destinations. These are PAL & Saudia, not Tair. Tair WAS NEVER given the right to fly to KSA.

3. What plane are they going to use? I heard that they've changed their mind to Airbus this time. What's the final deal? From the ambitious B747-400 to Airbus. They can't get even near a real plane for crying out loud.

4. Is the reservation now open? If they will fly soon, they better accept booking now. Have you personally made a reservation with that airlines?

5. So where are their facilities in Clark Airport? As of press time, NONE. Go to Clark and check.

Talk is cheap. Giving false hope is even dangerous.

MANDARAGIT: There are other airline careers for pilots elsewhere. Go to the Mideast or India. Don't pin your hope to a paper airline just like those pilots who were messed up by this fiasco.

Take Your Leave

Hope you have a good leave. and hopefully the so called saga will be finished when you return. Tair will fly and it will fill a very big void for filipino that want to fly from saudi to home. What could possibly be so wrong with that. At any rate they are going to fly whether you like it or not.

Almost 10 months to the day since this topic was opened. It will be interesting to see Tair take to the air and its great to see the immense enthusiasm that surrounds it....... But answer just 1 question. How many crew are receiving a "full" salary from Tair right now?

im one of tair's cabin crew up to this date. but then at this point in time im very confused on what's happening now. its not that i don't have faith with tair but its the reality im facing each and every day of my life especially if im looking at my savings account and its depleting fast.. oh boy! i dont want to end up broke while waiting. THESE ARE MY DILEMA WITH TAIR.

1) " PLS INFORM US WHEN WE WILL FLY AND HAVE OUR SALARIES "
2) " ITS WASTE OF TIME WAITING * i know i can get through other airlines* (WE HAVE CONTRACT WITH THEM)
3) " WE WANT THINGS TO MATERIALIZE * For those tair's critics to shut up*

i have nothing againts the management of tair and honestly im even grateful that once in my life i get to meet them but then reality check! the cabin crews are hanging in the balance right now, not just me but all of us are having doubts,we are suffering because we sacrifice our careers just to move with tair some of us are broke right now without money to go to the general meetings its painful to me to see my colleagues suffer , Pls Mr. Ramirez call us back again and tell us the good news. we are still with tair for now but i wouldnt think that we can still hang on a little more.
we just want to fly with tair pls make it happen.

Tair Cabin Crew Reunion

Hey fans, I'm back! Actually, it's a long break from training due to the holidays.

I've started my training already with a legitimate & big airline company. Guess what? I have two classmates who were from Tair. Needless to say, they have told me information about Tair. My ex-Tair friends also introduced me to three ex-Tair crew who were just 'released' to fly from the previous batch. It's a mini-reunion of 5 ex-Tair FAs.

I have mixed emotions on their stories. They've told me horror stories about repetitive promises and allowances not paid on time. Oh dearest! These are people who gave up their previous jobs in order to pursue their dream. Too bad, they ended up with a wrong company.

I'm happy for "Michelle, Sarah, James, Leslie and Corrine" (obviously not their real names) who used their common sense and found out that Tair is just going around the bush, promising things beyond their reach.

There will be two more ex-Tair who will be joining the next batch, I was told (classmates of Corrine).

The lucky 7 of Tair I guess.
