be greatful, life is short, compare the not so fortunate ones!

If everyone swap roles, how would each one of us like to be treated, compare those who are less fortunate,be greatfull to the most minute everyday things you get from the allmighty, let be your own wellbeing & that of your entire family(not in hospital not having to spend your hard earn salary to the hospital or in medicine!)you do not have any downsyndrome children! If you want to complain & winge & be disatisfy...it will never end...Life is short! At a stroke of pen,you could easily fail your next medical.

How much can you eat? How much is enough?the most important thing is "berkat".(a salary thats earn from an hard work & sweat.from honest earning goes a long way,its blessed earnig!

let's try to fulfilll each others "rights" by doing so both parties won't demand rights.

Back during the cadets days, with little pocket money and little choice of food to eat,we were all greatfull to any flying jobs offered, regardles of pay & type of plane we were to fly! remember brothers?

We all came from the same roots lah brader...Indo or Malaysian, whatever lah! we have similar language, food, cultures, respect to our elders,Our fore fathers are all from Indonesia.people from negeri sembilan & kedah are all from Sumatra! why can't we treat each other like our own families. The Indo pilots have families with their own needs & viceversa to Malaysian pilots! We are all from a heritage of immigrants.thats how our great great grandparents started by migrating, seek their ("rizki") fortune in malaysia from Indo,India, middle east, china, europe, during the spice trade.

Let's accomodate our guests, lets be a good host, lets show also that we can be a pleasant guest to the malaysian community of pilots. Invite each other to our homes and eat together & build a rapport to eliminate any perceptions & insecurity to both Indo & Malay pilots! We were all trained together either in Parafield,Bankstown,Tamworth,Sharing everything in 1 plate so to speak.Unfortunately I'm not part of the management just incase your wandering nor am I trying to preach, coz I'm yet far from perfect.but I try to make both party happy.

Can't please everyone, but what goes around..comes around!whatever good or bad you do,it will come back to you,big or small!

I can't promise anything, but InsyALLAH, I'll try to do my part to come up with a solution to both parties.Again I'm nothing to any ones eyes,hmmm...I'll try to do my part diplomaticaly & with humility & wisdom.

aceh,

that all weel n good...now that our rights are violated by the company, thats why we are reacting.
I do work hard for my salary(berkat) though not as hard as some others going beyond limits.
i have nothing against indo pilots and have many as friends but the timing is not good cos it affects my income and benefits....

Thumbs down Operation Smokescreen

Another attempt by the mismanagers of MAS to deflect their incompetencies.Tsk,Tsk.....these people never learn.

Ok lemme just say, when you pour 'salt' in other people's rice bowl to get your 5 series or whatever is your 'reward' for screwing (read that as lying & cheating) to their responsibilities (including to the employees) it wont be 'berkat'.It will be as my muslims friends would say, HARAM!

Please don't preach to the choir, this is the era of globalisation, where competent Managers embrace it without fear & will pay top dollar for good employees.Be they surgeons, architect or any other professional.Again, as comparison, local Indian pilots in India are paid about 10,000 to 12000 USD a month.Does this mean that they are greedy just because they are earning more than their fellow citizens? No, it just means market forces. That's why the Indonesians (no disrespect to them) are coming there in droves, MAS is paying more than the locals in a penny wise pound foolish exercise, not to mention giving free ratings & glass experience to boot!In any country when the locals are able to do the job, then the locals will have priority, not the other way around! Again the mismanagers are showing their vindictive & hatred to the locals (who supported them in their time of need) with a slap in the face!

Congratulations MAS mismanagers, you manage to make a fool of yourselves & make you guys the laughing stock of the airline industry.

ps, please, please, don't let me have the pleasure of slamming you time & time again, after all you have jobs to do ...... that is to screw the employees & not to mention plundering the coffers of MAS!

Talking Still the same

Nice to see the MAS pilot group working hard to scrw each other again. Instead of complaining, how bout offering alternatives and going directly to the board. What about a vote of no confidence from MAPA..oooohh sooorry, they are the new mas management team. That wont work.

Keep up the delays, burns those extra tons, get sick (more often). Smear campaigns; yes, why not? Hmm - that is being done now.

Why not recruit more expats. That way the management will know that your focus will be on them, moreso than the issues, and you will be busy bleating about jobs lost than pay and conditions that need to improve. Some of you can't see taht.

Aceh's moralistic lesson is pertinent, but somewhat misguided under the circumstances. I applaud his effort to make peace, but that is not the issue, when you are at war with everyone that is apparently a threat, even when they are not!. Unfortunately the unstated intention of those blunder mouths with in mas is not to correct the deplorable situation, but to perpetuate the anger and division within the pilot group. Yes, it is true, there are pilots that are not malaysian, even though you are lead to believe that. You should make a real effort to acheive cohesion and work united (no, you won't get a job there!).

I reccommend you change your focus and your actions. Work within the terms of your agreements, but apply appropiate, legal, and sustainable pressure in areas that count. Work together. I suppose that might be to much to ask. It's over to you guys. ON ON!

dear oh dear my dear Watson! may I remind you Iso that we're not during the "wild wildwest" days! it aint WAR mate! we're in the "FAR EAST!" oh by the way thank you for the applause,it was jolly nice of you old chap!

If I may add also, when you're in Rome do what the Romans do! In the Far East we do things a bit more subtle! History might tell us from the past, using fists & might head on won't do a quick fix! Sorry to say,Eg.down under in '90s during Ex prime minister Bob Hawke days.It wasn't a pleasant event for the pilots.

perhaps working in the far east could do good for you Iso,you might learn someting....you never know Iso,you might come across something later along the line, that might get you going "aha...now I know what aceh is getting at"!

I do not wish to make a big song n' dance about all this, however a cool calm head is needed. My support to you all is there for sure!

well over to you Iso....Handing over....You've got the "Controlls"!

Hi Aceh,

What ever the Ozzie's did, they did it in such a way they esposed themselves, and the rest is history. You don't have to expose yourself unnecessarily, but you can still send the message quite forcefully through legitimate action.

It will take the balls of all to send the message to management that they (the pilots) are doing this in direct response to the lack of reasonable response to the negotiations of the MOU to a respectable standard.

Whilst those within continue to see the focus on us and them with the pilot group, it will not work.

The solution: get together and formulate a formal plan of resistance. You MAPA council should be doing doing this, but based on their past self interest, they won't, so really I guess it might be a lost a cause anyway. You gotta get to the board by any means and make it quite clear what is happening.

Best of Luck.
