for those aspiring management types some helpful MBA definitions of the word traitor

some one who deprives loacals of employment opportunities

some one who causues a brain drain from the country

some one who is selfless (all ego), like a hantu

some one who engages in useless circulars like the one about the stowaway

One other place for MH guys to consider SQ Cargo. To M'sian...their pay scale is very attractive.Plus you'll be working just next door.Very short of pilots.PM me for details.

I heard 10 F/Os from GA joining MAS CARGO on the 742's, . . . . . logical coz that will give the local F/O's space to go for 734 command.

The next interesting news is Transmile getting Indonesian Pilots from Jetayu and paying them USD 1,000/= per month and based in JKT, . . . . that's 9,000,000Rph and 3,780/= RM, . . . . . . . my heart bleeds for these guys, and my message to them is "GO TO AFRICA OR MID_EAST and get USD 5,000/= per month guys, . . . you're NOT beggers, . . . . !!!

Yes interview time again.A lot of them delay their slots for interview thinking that a better MOU package is due.

But a week back management hand MAPA a new deal.NOT SO NEW AFTERALL.It's the same stuff that they offered 5 months back.25% on basic and 60% on productivity and no mention of tax free productivity.MAPA seems to be upset with the package, thinking that a better deal is at hand.

The management thinks that they have the upper hand now, with the GARUDA crew secondment, they are now able to man the fleet. So why bother with a better package.Take it or LEAVE.

They are approaching GA for 737 and A330 secondment as well. The recruitment of F50 and twin otter capt and copilot went fairly well. Most of the takers are indonesians. So all of a sudden they have solved their problem.

Good thing is you have an average of 3 pilots monthly getting to EK.Most of these have given up hope on a better package.Enough of all this BS,my slot will be next month.Time to get out.

Corrections to my last statement, . . . . 6 F/O's have been seconded from GA on the B744 fleet, . . . BUT due to the TKI (Indonesian Work Force) in MYS problems, they are stuck on the work permit.

sq7700,
I think B734 F/O's and Capt's from GA is a possibility, but A330's is very much impossible b'coz they don't have many locals, they themselves are using ex-pats for their one and lonely A330, B744 is also marginal b'coz their pilots are also leaving for better grounds. I know a few who are joining Phuket Air and CAL.
