Good to know.

Any idea how many made it through to GD last time?

ikarus- 8th Oct 2014 06:32

Last year around 350 candidates were selected for GD :ok:

pkboeing 10th Oct 2014 17:30

Does anyone has the link of this years question paper(Lat Paper : Nav,Radio aids,Met,Reg) of jet airways..Pls share...i need to look at few questions..

mach5 12th Oct 2014 03:38

Guys Anyone info whether the first batch of 2011 has got joining ?

virus90 12th Oct 2014 03:56

@mach5 : As of now none of the previous batches have received any offer letter.. The first 3 batches of 8 have submitted their licenses to DGCA Delhi for endorsement and are waiting for the same to return..
Only after that they will be given an offer letter..
Rumors are in the air that some of them have started receiving their licenses..

mickey737 15th Oct 2014 05:25

practical stuff

Guyz, nobody actually knows what was the correct figure of candidates who had come for the exam....1400 in delhi,1300 in mumbai is an unreal and too small a figure, 500 from the entire south india region is again an understatement. given that last year itself 700 licenses were issued by DGCA...from 2007 only upto 600-700 pilots have been absorbed by the airlines. my friend has his license number in 6200 something(still unemployed) where as currently the license number has gone way above 13000 mark...jet calling everyone i believe the real figure no body knows but for certain it cant be this small.

cyrilroy21 15th Oct 2014 08:04

@mickey737

These numbers were calculated on the basis of roll numbers issued by Jet Airways . Obviously there cannot be more candidates than the number of roll numbers issued

Outside every exam centre all the roll numbers were written for that particular hall

I counted 1386 alone for both the halls in Mumbai

Delhi was a little harder since it was spread over 3 locations .

But the Chennai numbers are pretty accurate

Jibu 17th Oct 2014 03:32

I attempted in delhi
it was around 1400 i have counted...

so no guessing for delhi atleast

6th batch called for ground

10 guyz have been called for ground, starting 20th november 14. 10th jan their training starts in the UK...as of now 50:D have been called out of 100. think our 2013 batches will start only in august by this pace. but surely things will gather some momentum as cae bangalore has turned alive.:ok:

HelpingGuy 4th Nov 2014 05:25

2014 results would be declared either in Dec or Jan. Mostly in Jan.

Jet likes to make people wait and late.

fly2infinity 5th Nov 2014 15:10

@pkboeing

Dude you don't know anything about Jet then. Jet takes a hell lot of time with the CPL batch, I know a friend who cleared the 2011 writtens, was a bachelor then. Now hes married with a kid and still hasn't got a call for joining!

The 2013 batch is still waiting for Medicals! So think when are they going to call 2014 batch!!

Flying738ng 6th Nov 2014 00:53

Jet call

@flight2infinity
Hahaha.... Wht a new way to explain the wait, probably ur friend will get a call when his son joins indigo

juliet.alpha.yankee 7th Nov 2014 09:38

:ugh::ugh::ugh:

ikarus- 7th Nov 2014 09:55

2011 batch is an odd case,jet usually calls in a decent time frame.
2013 batch is getting delayed because of tge backlog of 2011.
what 2011 is doing with 2013;2013 will do with 2014 batch ;)

piston2jet 8th Nov 2014 13:11

Jet has been nothing but huge pain in the neck with the whole CPL Induction process since 2011. Why should we care about the "decent time frame" that Jet took before 2011? However the story is different when Jet conducts Type-Rated Exams. The only plus point about Jet is that almost everybody is invited for the CPL Exam and I highly appreciate this gesture.
All around the globe lots of Airlines do take a fair amount of time in completing the whole induction process but Jet is on a very different level.

2011 batch

Can anyone from 2011 batch, who have completed their B737 TR (Batches 1 to 4) inform current status. Have you guys got your license endorsed, base checks etc and when are you likely to get your appointment letter/start flying. Will be grateful if someone replies. Batch 5 is currently in UK doing their Type Rating.

ITAviator 26th Nov 2014 04:38

The 10 guys who were called for Nov 2014 batch, have received a mail on 12th Nov, saying:
"the joining has been deferred to a later date(but no date mentioned) and the documentation process planned on 24th Nov stands cancelled." and they "Regret the inconvenience".. :(

And the rumor says they might cancel the remaining batches.. So....

sagoobadi 26th Nov 2014 06:21

2011 batch

What a pity ! And what about the 1st 4 batches who have already spent Rs 20 lacs + Rs 10.00 lacs bank guarantee ? Are they being taken on rolls or just sitting at home ?

virus90 27th Nov 2014 02:48

Yes we did receive the email which said that our batch has been postponed , but we had a word with the seniors of the hr department and they clearly told us that none of the batches have been cancelled..
The reason for the delay is faa audit, trto approvals lapsing with dgca, lack of instructors and check pilots in jet airways..
So please relax and do not listen to rumours.. Wait for some concrete information..

sagoobadi 27th Nov 2014 05:00

2011
