Hi all,
Received the call - January 2019 intake :) If anyone requires any help or advice, please feel free to ask, glad to assist in preparation. Cheers. 1. Can I confirm whether they will have the aptitude test on the same day? Cause I've seen people having aptitude test on the same day (perhaps interview held in Singapore only). 2. What website is suitable to practice the aptitude test? Looking forward to your reply! Thanks in advance! |

Just focus, follow instructions and work quickly. You could try doing those timed numerical and verbal reasoning tests freely available on the internet. |

Hi guys, i just did my medical last Friday on the 6th Sep. My tests all went well except for my left ear. My left ear had normal hearing but with mild hearing loss at high frequency only. However, it is still within the limit of CAAS, CAA and EASA standards and all other doctor test such as whisper test went well and doctor said i could hear well. So my question is for those that had pass their medical/already became a cadet, will this affect my pre-employment with SIA? i'm confident with CAAS class 1 but SIA own medical panel not so sure. Also, in the worst case possible, i did not pass the medical, can i go and retake the medical tests again on my own expense and resend to SIA again after doing so? If yes, how can i do it since i saw a lot of people actually did it and got into SIA the second time? Hope someone could shed some light on this!
Thanks! 787 pilotwannabe |

Thanks! 787 pilotwannabe Unable to conclusively give you guidance on this issue. I believe you need to wait for SIA's feedback call in regard:- From my knowledge, they will call and inform:- 1) You are fit etc. and passed OR 2) Ask you to go for a second medical review in Singapore at a panel hospital (at your own expense) and await the final decision, in regard. Cheers. |
Hi,
1. Currently, based on my knowledge acquired from recent interviewees - aptitude is on the same day after the preliminary interview (for Singapore interviews). 2. 'Indiabix' is a resourceful site to practice various aptitude based tests. Hope it helps and godspeed. Cheers. |

May I check what are the aptitude based tests that are similar to the ones at SIA? Regards |
Good day all
May I check if anyone, who went for the preliminary interview on 20 Sep 19, did the aptitude test on the same day? Cheers! |

Hi bros,
I have just updated my application online but it didn't allow me to post my latest CV (in pdf). Instead, it carried over my old CV. Is there any place I can update it or any email that I can email to? Cannot find a clue. Many thanks for advice! Cheers! |

From various postings online it appears for Singapore recruitment upon passing the first interview you would proceed to aptitude stage immediately after, on the same day.

Anyone knows if there's an age limit to the cadet pilot program? Currently 33 and plan to apply - local Singaporean.

Good morning all
Unfortunately, I didn't make it for the preliminary interview and intend to try again. May I check what is the 'cool off' period between applications? I have heard 3 months and also 6 months. Regards |

There is a fellow cadet (Singaporean) - 34. However, what is the exact cut-off, I am unable to comment. Cheers |

Hi guys,
Just got an email from HR asking me to have another medical review with Dr. Faizal Wahid at Fullerton Heath on Saturday. Can i ask if anyone had the same email before? If yes, what happened after that? What review should i be expecting? Hope someone could help me on this. Cheers Having said that however, your mileage might vary. You know your own level of fitness better than anyone else. Only two possible outcomes here, the condition turns out to be something that you can't change then possibly end of the road, or physician clears you and you proceed with the program. I have heard many cadets who have had the review to successfully proceed with the program, and very few who couldn't meet SIA standards and their journey ended there. By the way you might want to refrain from posting very specific details on where, when, and who as regards your medical review on the internet just to be safe. |
Preliminary Interview
Hi Guys,
Anyone got invited for the KL interview this coming Nov 15/16? Let's create a whatsapp group. Ryan |
Hi guys,
Anyone going for this coming prelim interview in KL for Nov 16/17? I would like to ask, does SG airline sponsor your flight ticket or do you have to bare the full travel cost? I read some forums saying that SG airline will pay for your flight ticket but that is for the 2nd interview in SG. Anyone went through this experience ? |

From those that I've spoken to, it's only for direct entry candidates that they provide a flight ticket for. They don't provide transport for cadet interviews. |
