Re-Interview
Hey guys, heard some news or Rumour regarding, JET calling again those people who failed in the Interviews held in the JUNE this time for CPL Non type rated batch.
Any one who was'nt able to clear Interview held in june, got any got call to Re-appear for interview???? Is it true?
Even heard, right now they have called those, who failed interviews in 737 type rated batches to Re-appear for Interview. so it might be the case, after this they will also call Cpl Non type rated one's as well for Re-interview, Don't know, which of these Info is true and which not.
Any one got any info on this or or got any mail relating to this doo share, be it 737 Type rated one's or Cpl Non type rated one's.
And any one got any info regarding, when they gonna call for Sim Checks for Cpl non type rated batch, Any idea guys, any one had a word with HR department or any thing???? Simply Unable to understand now, what are they Doing, what is JET Managment uptoo????/

@ indian bird 9w : your news about jet recalling the people from the non type rated batch for interviews again is not true.. that hasnt happened...
and to be honest i am not aware of many people who did not clear that interview, they mostly cleared everybody...
As far as the interview for the type rated batch is concerned yes they have been called for interviews and it is scheduled from the 14th of august..
Sim checks no idea as of now but from reliable sources in the company we should be getting emails soon.. but then itss just a rumor..
Jet is a very big company nobody knows how and when and why they do stuff
cheers!!

Instrument Proficiency Test...
@cyril : Apparently the candidates who had given their interview after the 21st of june have not received their emails for the IPT, my friend told me that they have divided the candidates into batches... Jet can co ordinate better that way, which i think is really stupid...the IPT for them will be conducted in the month of december..

Jet IPT
IPT has been pretty straight forward. To begin with please carry a printout of the email and resume (Just in case), nothing else is required.
Different examiners have different styles of taking the test. In the morning batch people were taken one at a time while in the evening candidates were paired up.
The system on which the test is conducted is called IPT (Instrument Procedure Trainer). It looks exactly like the 737-800 cockpit in FSX.
For the actual test, we were made to do 3 intercepts, 1 hold and 1 VOR/DME approach. We were also asked to do radio calls (nothing major, just basic).
The results are being declared the next day itself. If you're not required to re-positioned or asked to do something again then you've a high chance of getting through.

@INDIAN BIRD 9W
The Radio Calls very pretty basic. When I was asked to Intercept a Radial Inbound/Outbound, I was expected to contact the ATC and inform them that I have established. So I was giving information on my radial, DME & Altitude. Since I realised that my examiner was expecting radio calls, I made radio calls everytime I would establish myself on a radial, change of altitude, Inbound of the hold, etc.
The IPT was on Autopilot, you are in control of Hdg, Course, Altitude & Rate of descent. Either the examiner or, like in my case, the partner was given instructions to change speeds, flaps, etc.
I wasn't asked to do NDB, I was asked to do only what I mentioned earlier. Although it would be a good idea practicing NDB intercepts and approaches.
As I said the approach plate was given to us before hand, and were expected to do exactly as given on the approach plate.
After briefing the plate, we were asked a lot of questions from the given approach plate (I don't quite remember the questions but it was a 15 minute session before the IPT test). You need to know the approach inside out! I can't stress enough on the fact that you need to know every single detail on the Approach plate.
All my friends have cleared so far, so I would take it as a good sign. Although I wouldn't like comment on whether they're taking everybody or not since I don't know about that. I don't think they're giving a second chance to anyone.
Some batches have received dates for their medicals. Not sure about everyone though.
Hopefully this helps!
