Also, what type of questions did they ask this time? Were they different from the last attempts since they made changes? Are all the questions 'Oxford' based? Will sticking to the oxford set of books as study material be enough?

This whole Indigo selection process is one tuf nut to crack and its not because of the difficulty level of the exam
..They say 70 % is passing..theres no way in hell i would have got less than 70%..and im sure there were many more who would have scired more than that no. The invigilator even said that they are just looking at 70% pass mark and not a perticular percentage of ppl to recruit.HA..they selected just ONE

The level was not even half as tough as it has been made out to be by most of the ppl here..lots of questions from the question bank on this forum..20Qs from Air Law like vfr minimas light codes squak codes etc, Very simple numericals..CDMVT, Mach No, scale factor and stall speed calculation. Lots of human factors questions..again not very difficult..abt 10-15 met questions and the rest was made up of performance and priniples of flt..eg drag AoA etc Speeds..And no jet stuff only reciprocating engine questions..
I want to ask somebody who made it thru..did you score above 95 %

Still cant figure out their selection criteria..its not 70 % for sure..either its 95 and above or they are looking for something else..
Will put up all the questions i can remeber by tomorrow or day after..

yes just one met chart in the exam on 17th, there was a taf report with an option of 4 airports in the chart, and the question was which airport the TAF report suits the most

yea the test is just a few questions from DGCA CPL level which don't require much preparation, and mostly from JAA ATPL, the 2 main books being covered is human factors and instruments. Majority of the ATPL questions come from these 2 books, if you know them inside out, you have a fair chance of passing

yea dude, chill about the question bank thing, the exam is still going to be extremely tough and the questions are always going to be switched around, so the question bank is no guarantee of anyone passing, it could only boost someone's marks by around 5 or 10 at the most

You are right.. I am no one to decide that.
That is exactly why I have sent out around the QB to all 150 guys.
Now for the second question bank, its purely give and take!
If guys want to create a new QB2 for themselves you can't be stopping us from doing so.

If anyone had issues with the "email way" of going about it, they could have simply copy-pasted the QB here!!

bcse there is no need to be authoritarian abt who will get the q bank and who wont....
and if u r arrogant abt the q's u have found answer to let me inform u they are all not right...i sent u a mail with right answers ant their refrences but u dint event revert....

A thought: have any of you on this thread, or out there and considering the use of QB questions, thought about the usefulness of your actions apart from sneaking through the system; a system that will shake you up and spit you out if you don't have it in your blood.
There is no quick way - you have it or you don't. For your long term reward I suggest you consider what you know now and what you are capable of and then decide whether you want to invest in going further. i see students who have go through without the real aptitude and they ultimately fail!

Ridge Runner is right..QB or no QB..you have to read all the books..no doubt abt it..and its interesting too..but takes time. Qb can only take you so far..but to actually ACE the test you need to know everything and i mean everything.
On the other hand i dont think forming a QB is deceiving the sytem..QBs exsit everywhere except in India..Hell i ve heard all you need to pass the FAA exam is the QB..Even Jaa has Qbs so if you go through a QB, you are not outsmarting the system..I see Qbs as more of a self assesment tool so that you know where you stand after your done studying a subject also they can tell you if you are on the right track.
So aditya is doing us a favour really by compiling a QB. What we must realise is that he obviously has taken some time out and put in some effort in doing so and feels cheated when everybody asks for the QB but then after the exam nobody reverts back to him.
Regarding putting up the Qb on the forum..well if you think abt it and have the patience to go thru the whole thread you will realise that the Qb is already up here just fragmanted. I could have put it up here but thot that Aditya might be offended..so the onus of putting the consolidated QB is on him.

Wrote the exam finally..but couldn't make through

no doubt that one needs to be really thorough with everything. But tell me something, you wrote the exam, do you think you wouldn't have secured above 70%?

Indigo exam Questions (19th May)
Ok people here are some of the questions that I remeber from the exam held on the 19th of May.
Some of the numerical data could be wrong but you will get the general idea.
Total 62 Questions (actually 72).
1. Q) What is the phrase used by the intercepting a/c pilot when a common language is not established, to get the intercepted aircraft to descend for landing?
a. You land
b. Let Down
c. Descend
d. Descend for landing
2. Q) VFR minima at different altitudes in controlled and uncontrolled airspace. (2 questions)
3. Q) Aircraft is on a heading 253*, Variation = 13W, Dev= 4W. It experiences a drift of 9* S. Find True Track. (similar)
