My situation is like this...
I got a "F" for my physics in A.Level exam,
But I have finished a Higher Diploma course this year.
Do anyone have an idea whether I can get a chance going to the aptitude test with my "F" in physics??
Im going to submit my CPP application next few days, I'm so worried....

yes u do have a chance
my al result was far worse than urs but still got an invitation 2days right after sending the application
also the first step is initial test instead of aptitude test
if i were u i'll be more worried about how to explain the poor grades we got in public exam during the first interview

thanks!
yea, that's actually a difficult task
My idea for me is to say that I accidentally dropped in the AL. And I will show them my results got in school... (which are not good too, but not failed...)
Do you have any ideas?…

B737NG Flight Sim class.
Hi Guys i came across this B737NG flight sim class on the internet. It seems quite useful to know how a big jet actually flies. The course will be held in August 2013 in Hong Kong.
Quoting the english description of the class details from the link.
--------------------- English description------------
This class will introduce the pilot and the non-pilot alike to the experience of flying the best-selling jetliner in the world, the Boeing 737.
The class will revolve around three flights using a Boeing 737-700 Next Generation simulator, flying from Hong Kong (Chep Lap Kok, VHHH) to Taipei (Taoyuan Airport, RCTP). We will talk about the different stages of flight: takeoff, climb, cruise, descent and landing. During the 1h 30m flight, we will discuss topics such as: aerodynamics, flight-planning, navigation, communication, and autopilot on the 737.
Age: 17 years old and above No previous flight knowledge or experience is necessary.
This will be an eye-opening experience for anyone who's always wondered how an airliner flight is conducted. This course will benefit anyone who would like to find out more about flying, to anyone who would like to explore piloting as an aviation career, or anyone who is planning to apply for airline cadet programs.

Hi guys, late and new (tests) joiner here.
Just as I saw some posts saying until May 2013 KA cadet selection is pretty much closed for the year, I would like to give some update that I am currently taking stage 1, will have aptitude test on 29th Jul next Monday.
The majority of this batch are overseas candidates (16-17 out of 20) who took the initial test on 24 Jul.
So if you have the same dream, never bother when it would be too late to apply. just fill the application and wait for their call at any time of the year!
Well I am also confused if KA is offering approx. 20 cadets in a year or what?
Good luck all.

spotter and Tchan
I'm glad I can finally hear some voices on this wall.
Are you 2 overseas candidate too?
As an overseas candidate I was given the 1st interview schedule as to arrange flight to fly out of HKG. according to the schedule I'm afraid I have lost this year's battle. Yet I have not received refusal letter from KA until now.
Good luck to you guys and feel free to exchange ICAO English coursebook or sample papers with me.
P.S.
I am lack of study materials that talks about aviation theories and technical, those are for after ICAO English. No point if I can't really get there because I cannot do 3 tasks at a time.

Hi Takkers,
Yes I am from overseas but I do hold a HKID.
I don't think Dragonair do send out email to the rejected candidates. I know a guy that didn't pass the English and Number Reasoning tests he never received a call (obviously, since he didn't pass) or email. I am pretty certain that I didn't pass the aptitude test as they told me to wait for the result within a week but I haven't heard anything...
However I am having my Stage 2 with Cathay soon, so fingers crossed!

I will be a bit surprise if they don't even send an email out. The HR team seems pretty professional and nice when I was there.
Yeah oversea
