I understand that 3,000 hrs is for direct entry of A340. This is indeed very low. Doesn't Etihad think of Flight Safety. This number of hours is easily obtained.

Surely there are no many pilots...

aagg,

Emirates does not get a single fils and is not subsidised at all by Dubai government. Government also does not fight for their traffic rights and Dubai Airport's open sky policy still exits....

Any Idea why people think that Emirates may operate from AKL to LAX ? Since the strat, EK always operated their new flight from Dubai where is the busiest Middle East hub.

Emirates flight to NYC...
