EASA consider that Class 1 Performance profiles are incompatible with the wearing of NVG.

HEMS Operating bases are surveyed and lit, no NVGrequirement.

With a FADEC that has frozen at (say) 20% just open the throttle when more power is needed (coming to a hover?)

You would not want to overtorque/temp one engine...
