But these are one way drones so recovery is unecessary.

And no u/c is even lighter, simpler and less draggy than a thin fixed u/c. The drag penalty will be enough when every extra km of range...

A KLM spokesperson said the aircraft hit each other during the ‘pushback’.

KLM Boeing 737-800 was ready to leave for Madrid and the easyJet plane was on its way to London.

I'd agree and I'm at fault for not being sufficiently clear - by student, I meant P2 on our biannual refresher training. So I guess the issue for the instructor is 'how do you assess P2's competency...
