Skydive Waiheke do use the airfield, and operate a Cessna 205 mostly in the weekends. The DZ owner is their main pilot. They don't do many tandems, but are always looking for P/T pilots!!...

In NZ it is actually a requirement. Jump pilots in NZ need to sit a theory exam for their rating...it covers parachute systems, malfunctions etc. Our organisation puts freshies through 10 observing...

ASL don't have any samples available, but contact Contract Aircrew in Christchurch. Did my BGT with them, they do it internally. Really good course. They should be able to get some notes out to you....

Yeah a few of my mates went to the academy, good bunch but its a bit of a factory! I was loading for Air NZ to pay for my licence, trained at the Air NZ Flying Club at Christchurch Intl.

...I would'nt say the Canterbury Aero Club are good value for money, at last check they were one of the most expensive. You can save yourself around NZ$40 per hour at the Christchurch Flying School....
