300TT with a new instrument rating usually suffices..about 40 multi. You wouldnt want to waste too much money doing a night rating because the regionals don't fly much at night. Best to forget the ATP subjects too because they fully expect you to get them while employed since the material will still be fresh in your mind.
An aviation degree or diploma will also count hugely in your favour
..nah kidding..1000 and 100 will get you noticed..get your ATPs

1000tt and 100 multi might get you noticed, but it won't get you hired, at least not by Air Nelson. They are generally looking at 1500tt and at least 300 multi and they prefer time on ATO's. Very few applicants have been hired with less than that. When I was hired by NS I had 2000tt with 1500 multi, all on ATO's. The lowest timer on the course had 400 multi, gained by instructing, and around 1500tt I think. Things might have changed, but there are guys in NZ with those minimum requirements, and they are the ones getting the jobs. If you do get an interview, best of luck as it is a great job, with great guys and girls to work with. Best job I've had so far!

AP?
Hi Sneak, I imagine with those hours you down AP way dropping meatbombs and teabags?
I think the turbine time might be of use to NS, but they are mainly interested in your IFR time, multi time and time on ATO's, as a kind of proof that your current and can already fly IFR on commercial ops. Its worked for them to date, so I can't see a big change in their requirements. If you are meatbombing, try and get some straight and level time on a twin, with your hours, you should have a good shot at it.
Good luck again

Thanks Nosey
Not Meatbombing (although did do that in a C182 quite a while ago), air charter in Africa in a C208B. Mostly Day VFR, but some night, IFR, scheduled route flying. Hope it counts for something. Sounds like a great company to work for.
Cheers

Yep, bigger one now, must be getting fat on noodles and rice at 4 am after a night in LKF!
You coming up for the 7's next year? PM me would you.
Sneaky, you could be in with a chance then, I would try and phone NS and speak with the recruiting folks there. Ask for Sandra Bennett, very nice lady and she may be able to give you some advice or info. Good luck.
