Entry hatch is on the mid-deck

The mid-deck is below the flight deck and is where the crew enters and the shuttle....yes, I had to look that up...:8

I haven't used one but I've heard good things about the PIO Vio 1.5 (google it). Two attractive features for me are:

- uses 4 x AA batteries (2.5 hrs/alkaline, 5 hrs/lithium)
- A "loop mode"...

Guiberson diesel radial engine

An obscurish diesel aero engine that was test flown in a Stinson Reliant. Sadly, WW II intervened and it was used to power tanks instead. After the war it was forgotten. Some info links below:

Grace Air Ltd operated a C97 as a salmon hauler from 1988 to (I think!) 1996. This is the plane that is in the videos that I linked.

The plane was eventually bought by the Berlin Airlift...
