During the take-off run with many civil aircraft,the "80
knots "speed call is often heard, and appears critical.
Could someone kindly explain why?

Yesterday at 1345, on the Apron at BOH, not one a/c on the East or West Aprons.Not one vehicle moving and no humans visible Airside. Waiting for the Summer.......

BOH Diversions -late 1990'sD

During one 17 hour day the Ramp Crew of 10 men handled 35 Diversions -mainly BA 737's-talk about keeping fit! There was great team- spirit and pride then. Does anyone remember the crazy wizzo scheme...
