Earlier info in post indicates in air 1 1/2 hours and only traveled 29 miles away from airport. They must have done some T/S and dumped fuel during their time aloft.

Thanks, see that every 4th hole is used for the fan/LPC attachment most appear darker as if a larger dia.

Main point of photo link was to show what appear to be the missing or sheared...

Fasteners gone from the LPC inner support structure/rings also.

Failure was not likely caused by a few unnoticed missing fasteners during assembly/inspection.

Think you nailed where it broke. Looks like the short fan shaft sheared where it tapers near the front of the LPC.

I believe those just "appear" to be latches and we likely see some stress induced seam separation of the pylon or fan cowl assys. Nose/inlet cowl isn't attached using just quick release latches....
