I have been saying this since MH370 and AirAsia....why not fit GPS spot locators in the tail of aircraft? The type that hikers use are waterproof, report every minute (could be set to 10 seconds)...

Gulfstream did NOT introduce that check after Bedford, but instead re-emphasized it. I was taught the check and it was in the manuals and checklists long before the Bedford accident.

What a great idea. Why don't you post exactly where to begin this resource towards finding the FDR and CVR. If you find the airplane, battery time is no longer all that important.
