G280 off runway at Bedford Mass
Kathryn's Report: IAI Gulfstream G280, N228BA: Incident occurred February 12, 2017 at Hanscom Field Airport (KBED), Bedford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts
Has anyone gotten word of why they aborted the takeoff in the G280 Sunday?

Weather was moderate to heavy snow which got progressively worse in the afternoon and evening. All commercial flights in and out of MHT 45 miles north were cancelled on Sunday. Hope it wasn't gust locks again.

It is extremely improbable that it was gust locks on this type of aircraft. The gust lock locks the ailerons and thrust levers on the G280. This aircraft has incredible stopping power with the brake by wire autobrakes in RTO and the powerful T/R's.
The aircraft was only two months old, looks initially like not a lot of damage was sustained. I believe the operator operates two of the type..

Not sure how much braking action they would have had given weather. But, they used up more than the length of 29 trying to stop. I'm surprised anything was departing given weather but interested in why the abort as well.
