Good plan, just a word of advice, do research more on the options involving schools in Malaysia. Especially those in Senai, Melaka, and Langkawi, most are only capable of training you to a DCA PPL...

OAA CAE is pretty good, and they do a private candidate CAAS program. Don't take the FAA route if you can, although you pay less, work will be hard to get as you are gonna be a fish out of water.

Sadly most operators out in S.E. Asia operate the ATR72s, including Firefly in M'sia and Vietnam Air.

There are also a couple of B1900 and Kingair operators but those are the small fish.
