Thanks so far. No, I do mean SFI as I can't become a TRI yet as I haven't flown an aircraft for 12 months. SFI can be done with type rating and LOFT sims only.

A320 Type Rating with no circuits

Hi,

Hoping someone can assist in my 2 queries please.

Is there any point in doing a type rating on an A320 without doing the base training or circuits in the aircraft? I have no job to go to...

The B737 has a limitation of not extending the flaps above 20000'. Does this also imply that one cannot go ABOVE 20000' with flaps extended? For example, say the flaps would not retract after Takeoff...
