The books aren't that thick, come on and they're not as hard as I thought they would have been as English isn't my first language. I always find time to study and what's more important I enjoy it.....

I think learning the whole PPL theory is a good idea, but you need to learn it, instead of just remembering specific subjects for an exam. As others said, this could kill you later in life, if not...

Honestly, you don't need any qualifications to become a pilot, it will be easier to study for your ATPL's if you do. But that's your choice. In the end, when looking for a job what matters...

Let's be honest.. It's damn hard to find an airline or a company which will pay you to learn to fly. Almost impossible. I guess RAF would be good, but as others said, they have their own requirements.

As others say.. if you have a back up career then you should be just fine and flying doesn't mean only flying for airlines, you could do several other things.. eg. instructing, it's not the best job...

As others said, I don't think that PPL is what you should worry about but Instrument Rating and ability to pass Type Rating.

Alpha, HNC course is equivalent to the first year of degree. I'm at college 5 hours a day, then work 8/10 hours, in the afternoons, and I do loads of overtimes on weekends.
