Paying more

i would have gladly paid more; I can’t understand why FlyBe management didn’t price the routes properly. They had virtual monopolies on some routes, eg IOM, SOU. Poor market awareness.

Thanks FlyBe crew!!

Very many thanks to all the FlyBe crew who over many years have got me safely home to Manchester.
The flight deck crew who performed at superb levels in all sorts of horrendous weather at MAN, IOM,...

Wall Street Journal just reported that Boeing says that return of the Max will be at least the middle of the year for regulator approval. Boeing shares fell by 5%.

Hopefully, Mr Optimistic, you are not on any flight deck. If you are, then your concern should be to ensure that none of your passengers are injured, but if they are, you should be fully co-operating...

If a CVR is for "accident investigation" only, is Basil saying this was not an accident, i.e. it was deliberate?
Or is he saying that CVRs are only relevant to incidents involving metal being bent,...

As SLF, my flight safety starts as soon as I am on the aircraft.
If there is an incident on the ground, for whatever reason, and I am injured, why shouldn't the contents of the CVR, if operational,...

Stobart cancels again

Tonight's Stobart to / from MAN cancelled without Flybe stepping up with an aircraft to do a run out of MAN and back to cover.
What a rubbish offering this is now.
Flybe seemed to have washed their...

A319 take off distances

A319 at MTOW needs 1,949 metres.

Should need less from Ronaldsway with lower fuel and perhaps not a full load.
Could be do-able, just.
However the flight deck would no doubt get a good view of...

fjencl's reply about accessing the hold on VLM's Fokkers also explains why Stobart Air doesn't allow firearms either due to the forward hold on the ATRs.

VLM to IoM

Apparently they are doing some of the MAN - IOM flights.
So there will be Dash 8, ATR and the F50 all on this route for a short while.
Stobart apparently running everything May onwards.
