Yep, flight planning is in and working at Muppet Labs. But we wanted to get a version out there ASAP. Look for flight planning as per Sunfish etc. ('touch and plan') later in the year. Also NAIPs...

With the current and pending iPad flight apps at a tenth the cost (albeit not integrated in with other avionics for a start) a true battle for the cockpit is being set up.

At the risk of self promotion, check out a free iPhone Apo called TAFGRAF which shows TAFs as an easily interpreted picture. Apologies to the pros.

I didn't have a problem reaching all the controls (perhaps I have a long left arm - aka a fiddler crab). I lean forward and reach over the collective bar. I've seen others mount 530's etc....

Echo comments by others - it's a good (great?) advance on the 495/496. Easy to operate (a bit like a cross between a 495 and GNS 430). Excellent screen size (about 2.5 times the 496) - as others say...
