If my Memory is right all Marks had the ability to use the Matn Gear as an Airbrake below 300kts IAS,
It was a small switch next to the Airbrake Lever which just lowered the Main Wheels.

In 1972 I took G-APEF repainted as PK-MVJ as the first BEA Vanguard to Jakarta for Merpati.
In the end they had 4 ex BEA and 4 ex Air Canada

We only had one aeroplane, a Miles Magister G_AKKY.
