Do you know of any data on the number of diversions to alternate airports due to adverse weather?

I know that ANZ & Qantas have been long certified to fly RNP into and out of Queenstown.

Could anyone advise whether Virgin Blue and/or Pacific Blue have the same abilitiy.

If this electrical failure occured in a twin engined commercial jet with, for example, ETOPS of 180 minutes would there have to be 180 minutes of battery charge available?
