Pacific Blue into Queenstown

I know that ANZ & Qantas have been long certified to fly RNP into and out of Queenstown.

Could anyone advise whether Virgin Blue and/or Pacific Blue have the same abilitiy.

Thanks.

They do not have approval to fly RNP approaches into ZQN.

I believe approval is being sought, however it is a requirement to fly a large number of proving flights in VMC and with the withdrawal of domestic ops in NZ this will take a long time.

Thanks snake.

So Virgin & Pacific approach & land ZQN using VFR and/or VOR/DME.

Do you know of any data on the number of diversions to alternate airports due to adverse weather?

Yeah, VOR/DME and visual approaches. Sorry mate, I don't have any stats on the % of diversions.
